A dear friend passed on last night
Some of you have seen my post earlier this year of a neighbor that was diagnosed with end stage cancer (4 different ones). She passed last night in her sleep at her daughter's home. I will be away this morning taking care of some things and being with her family...
First Wedding
A little boy was attending his first wedding. After the service, his cousin asked him, "How many women can a man marry?"
"Sixteen," the boy responded.
His cousin was amazed that he had an answer so quickly. "How do you know that?"
"Easy," the little boy said. "All you have to do is add it up, like the bishop said: 4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer."

Tom's First Thanksgiving
Hope you all have a wonderful and fun Thanksgiving....Debbie
Tom Turkey knew trouble
when he saw the loaded gun.
He darted into the shadows,
then took off on the run.
He ran through the forest,
blending with the trees,
ducking under fallen logs
and hiding beneath the leaves.
He scurried past the houses
where the women clean and cook,
and jumped in the laundry tub
where the men would never look.
He peeked from under clothes
and watched with worried eyes,
as all the ladies cooked
mounds of peas and pies.
He saw the empty platter
waiting for the meat,
and knew no goat or lamb
would be the supper treat!
So Tom kept hiding and hoping
trying to outrun his fate,
But, alas, he was no match
for the first Thanksgiving plate!

Great News
crashrescuewife (Chris) had good news yesterday. Her daughter Lori had a successful kidney transplant and is doing well, she will remain in ICU for a few more days. Chris's sister Sue was the donor and Sue is also doing well. Chris thanks everyone for their prayers and hopes that you will continue to pray for a full recovery so that Lori can live a long, healthy life. Thanks to all, Mabel
This is so beautiful.
It is beyond description.
