there is this thing I remember in the California Governors race quite a few years ago. The bradley Effect was when Tom Bradley ( a black man ) was running for governor and just walking away in the polls. come time to vote, he was beaten by a landslide.The polls were relying on white people saying yes, they would vote for Bradley. But didn't. And much of the black population who said they would vote for Bradley didn't either.

Do you think that there could be a repeat of this with Obama? What I find funny is that during the primarys Obama was up like 98% to 2% with black voters. Now would they really vote that way or just saying that to not be looked at funny by other black voters..

Incidentally, I voted for Bradley based on the success he had as mayor of Los Angeles.

I just read in another groups thread the question "Why Biden"

I read the post and it became obvious to me that none of the posters knew anything about Biden.

I would think that Obama picked Biden because he's an expert on taxes.

When Biden first hit Washington, his focuses and energies were on the tax systems. He proposed a no nothing simple graduated income tax based in income. The more you made the more you paid. NO deductions and no corporate freebies.

He back this up with facts and figures and all sorts of research. It showed that it would lower everyones taxes. It would pay of this country's debt. Then it would start building a surplus which would lead to even greater lower taxes without affecting any government services other then the IRS.

I think Obama made a good choice if he intends to change this country. If you are going to change this country, you have to start with the tax system. Biden is an expert in the tax system.
