Howdy, fellow motorcyclists. I'm a retired Army Veterinarian who also likes to ride motorcycles. My latest is a 2006 Fat Boy with an Army special edition paint set. The gas tank has M1 tanks, the air cleaner shows a Black Hawk hovering over some tanks. On the other side, the horn cover has a soldier holding his M16. I also have several Army logos at key spots on the bike. It's painted Army green (metallic) with an Army star on the front fender and a U.S. flag on the rear with my veterinary caduceus above the flag. I like all the Armed Services but of course I'm partial to Army. I try to ride my cycle to military functions such as funerals, military parades, and other events that honor our great military men and women. Here's to motorcycling far into retirement !!

...never too late

Just how great it is to learn to ride at age 63!!!! The sweety and I have a '04 Honda VTX 1800, have taken several week long trips (live in Texas) in every direction. Hope to ride till I'm too old to climb on back!!!! Sooooo, for all u armchair "wannabe" bikers, GET OUT THERE.......NOW. There's nothing quiet like it. Going to Mexico (lived there a while back) for a couple of weeks on it, show all the folks on Lake Chapala that I've finallly "arrived"!!!

Long time rider

Been riding since the 9th grade. Actually first ride was at age 6 on my older brother's Indian Chief. Now have a 2005 HD Ultra Classic for touring and a 2006 Ducati PS1000LE for sport riding. Live in SC and truly enjoy the almost year-round riding weather. Must admit in the summer, though, I usually ride just in the mornings to avoid the afternoon heat.

since birth

Seems I've been riding since birth . I bought my son his first 2 wheeler when he was 4 years old . He was riding a 400cc Bultaco at 6 . I raced in the early 70's and had factory backing . Gee , that was a log time ago . I rode for Hodaka . I now have a 1100cc Honda Sabre Dresser and I really like taking it out . Just wish I had someone to ride on the back .

A little history...

I've been on (and off) two wheels since 1957 (1954 Harley). Since then it's been Norton, Honda, Triumph and currently an '02 Kawasaki Nomad which is having a sidecar attached. I just sold my #2 bike (2003 Kawasaki Concours). I'm thinking that with the sidecar I can ride well past wheelchair time. ;=)
