Sort of new to this! I have been divorced for about a year now!Although I am finally out I can relate to many of the posts here.
After 25 years together we realized that we had grown in separate directions.We had very little in common anymore and couldn't agree on much of anything.
I miss her alot,as I still love her,but I don't miss what we had become as a couple.

Death of a relationship
My personal experience has been quite eyeopening..I am very sure that almost all people (cause exceptions prove the rule)have experinced happening/s in their lives which were most unexpected or never dreamt atleast or they thought it wouldn't ever happen to THEM.
The world suddenly changes in perspective...it's people and their words,looks,behaviour etc...all so uncertain and unreliable.You start cooling buttermilk too before drinking cause you have burnt your toungue sipping hot milk.

I just found out I have to have total knee replacement surgery and it will be done on 9/30. When I told my husband he actually gave me a hug. He has been very nice and good to me during the past week and he and my son will be taking care of me after I get home from surgery and two weeks of rehabbing in a facility. It doesn't really change the status of our relationship, but he is stepping up to the plate to take care of me and I will need a lot of help for a while. So I have been trying to be more appreciative of the kind things he does and doing my best to reciprocate. It is a heck of a lot better than fighting!
