Tough Maineiacs

This is for you Maine-iacs who have gone south. The other day I was driving in downtown Sanford, ME and there was a teen-age girl, in shorts and and a T shirt, jogging down the street. Maybe that's not unusual for you, but here it was 32 degrees and I was wearing a heavy winter coat, a sweatshirt and turtle neck and long underwear. Brrr!

We're not all about weather!

Yesterday, I had the cable guy up here because something has been weird with the TVs and the computer. Both TVs have been flipping from color to black and white and the volume goes in and out. The computer has been excruciatingly slow but only with applications that I use online. All this has happened since the ice storm.

The guy came and checked everything out and of course, it wasn't doing it when he was here. He thought it might be something on an outside junction. He checked out my computer and went downstairs and adjusted something. When he came back up, he looked at the website that he had pulled up and said, "Yes!". Apparently whoever put in the cable for me didn't set it high enough for the computer so it was running more slowly than it should. Now it acts like a brand new computer. It's so fast I can't believe it!

Then we had a nice chat about our cats. On his way out he spotted the 4" circumference ice post that had formed from the roof to the railing and asked me if I would like him to get rid of it. He chopped it right off!

You just gotta love these Maine folks.

Hi fellow Maine-iacs

I added a couple of my watercolors to help through this looong winter. Hope you like them.
