Lunch At Apple
I had lunch with my former team at Apple. It was great fun to see everyone and catch up. No, they couldn't tell me any secrets but we discussed the rumors on the rumor sites. The time went way too fast.
What's changed - more people working on secret projects, higher prices in the cafeteria, some people got married, others have new babies.
What hasn't changed - the work load and the enthusiasm

Leopard 10.5.2 Available
The 10.5.2 upgrade for Leopard is now available. Lots of bug fixes and tweeks to improve stability and probably fix a few potential security leaks. Wow and the Vista guys are just getting SP1. It's good to be on a Mac.
Woohoo!
Yesterday I got my iPhone from Apple. It is like having a laptop that fits in the palm of your hand. Quite fantastic. I am having waaaay too much fun with it.
Uh oh.
Looks like we lost a member. Was it something I said or something I didn't say?

SPOD
Apple Engineers refer to it as a SPOD. It's even written that way in bug reports. Anyone care to guess it's meaning?
The Computer World is Right Again
Ah, at last I have my computer set up in my new home and am back online. Now all is right in the world, at least the computer world. It's only a temporary setup until I can get a new workspace but it will do fine for now.
iTalk Therefore iPhone
I told my wife I would get her an iPhone and ordered one through the Apple Online store. After trying to get one at the local AT&T store I talked to the salesman who told ne that their online fulfillment programs was getiing phones in 4 - 5days. So I orederd one for her on Wednesday afternnon. She got it Thursday afternoon via FedEx Overnight, which is astounding considering that we are at the far ends of the US earth on a rock in the middle of the Pacific.
