Oh no.........
I've been a Mac user forever...I have a Mac Mini (1st generation) and I've never had a problem with it. OSX Panther. I shut it off the other day because I was going to be gone. Returned, powered on, and got a weird alarm sound, no boot, and it got very hot very fast. I shut it down, unplugged everything, shot some compressed air in just in case it had a furball, but no luck. Is it dead????????????

Hi gang, I posted this in the other Mac group but will try here too. I still have my iMac (grape) and a few years ago it crashed. A local techie got it running again but he had to reinstall OS9 in it, which was fine, BUT the OS9 he installed is in SPANISH! My software he was able to save is in English and won't work with the OS in Spanish! I've looked online for OS9 but all I find is OS9.2.2. Will 9.2.2 work it I get it and intall it as the system software in order to change the iMac's language back to English again?

I got a Mac Mini last year and had the Superdrive installed. Problem is, it spits out every disc I put in, saying the disc is bad. It also won't record a DVD. It will play anything, it just doesn't want to record stuff. Since I live in Mexico, there is nowhere to take it. Any advice, or is there any disc media I should be using?
