Shocking News from Apple
Apple has determined that under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter's metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock. We have received reports of detached blades involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold, but no injuries have been reported.

Work 08 Book Recommendation?
I've finally upgraded to 08 and would like a reference book that I can quickly look up functions without a huge amount of detail. I find this especially helpful for things that I seldom do and don't want to spend a lot of time figuring out.

what to do
When I open system pref. a pop up window states that changes have been made by another application then, I am to click on OK. I do the clicking yet, the pop up window keeps popping. Finally, I have to minimize the window to do other programs on my mac. Now, when I want to shut down that silly pop up window prevents me from doing so unless I force quit. Please advise.
Second One to One Session
I had my second session today and we concentrated on mail (how to permanently change the print) which was easy once it was explained and then moved to IWEB, my blog and IPHOTO! I can't wait for the next session because this one just got me started - I haven't even begun to learn all there is in IPHOTO - but discovered I had taken some "video's" with my camera and didn't even know it - Most of you know all of this, but it's a real eye-opener for me!

I have my second one/one next week and I have a ton of questions written down! I now have a 'blog" (janesample.com) and learning how to navigate that is not easy - Iphoto is taking shape and my special helper is going to show me how to get more from my camera - I know it can make video clips - but i don't know how and he is going to show me how to do that! Everyone in the Apple Store is soooo nice! It's like having a special family - super intelligent ones! Soon - I will be able to answer questions that are posted!
