stress

Hi, I am so glad this group is on eons. I am a Registered nurse and work on a medical/onocology unit. It is very stressful and especially when we do not have enough staff. So all your input will be of much help to me.

Found my red clown nose.

I was cleaning out the console in the car the other day & found my red clown nose. I had watched Loretta quite a number of years ago on a PBS station. She had told how she carried a red clown nose in the car. Sometimes at a stop light or in bad traffic she would put it on to help cut the tension & lighten the mood of the other drivers & to have a little fun. I went out & got a nice puffy foam red clown nose & put in my car.. It was fun.. One year with my little grand daughter & grandson painted up like clowns we went to see the Great Circus train at one of its stops. My little grand daughter was wearing my red foam clown nose.. I took pictures of the children with a couple of clowns from the train.. Later on the clowns came looking for us because one of them had lost her nose. She asked my grand daughter if she could have her nose & we all laughing were happy to help out the clown with a nose.. I replaced the nose in my car & I still use it on occasion..

Needed You

Hi
I'm thrilled to find you. Am having anxiety problems right now and need to find ways to find ways to decompress w/o meds. I'm on plenty of them because of Multiple Sclerosis, but I want as few as possible. I think many docs just add meds to treat symptoms, and the causes never leave. My new Psych guy wants me to learn yoga. It would have to be chair or bed exercises due to the MS, but I'm ready, willing and partly able. I've started breathing exercises and I think they really help. I'm going to stop taking my muscle relaxers and pain stuff ASAP, so relaxation is a must. Any GREAT book or video suggestions?

Need to be strong

Hi to you all ,Maybe you all can help ,I know my life would be better and happier if I moved to Fla, where I spent a mo. last year .The town of Leesburg .I am so unhappy with my husband . My step-daughter has set it up that her mom my husbands x-wife with her husband and myself and my husband spend all the holidays at her house with her new husband and son who is a step-grandson who I love with all my heart.I gave in and spent a week at a vacation house where we were all living there together . I was a mess ,upset all the time but keep it inside me .I do not think I can do more of this . Am I wrong ,should I not mind this and smile . It is working on me very much but maybe I am not acting mature . I never make a problem over this as I do not want to upset anyone . I am looking forward to hear what you all say . Susann

Think Positive

Hello. I live in NH where this winter has been very cold and snowy. Depressing. I always enjoy listening to you and your sense of humor makes the blues go away.

CONCERT TO BENEFIT THE NEW HAMPSHIRE FOOD BANK

TO MY EONS FRIENDS AND MEMBERS IN MA AND NH, COME ON OUT FOR A FUN NIGHT AND SUPPORT A GREAT CAUSE!
A dear friend of mine, Robert Saitow, from Pelham, NH that I met just a short couple of years ago through the travel business was killed on November 16 in a tragic car accident. He was just 51 years old and left behind a beautiful wife, two children and many, many friends. In a very short time we became fast friends through our mutual love of family, travel and great live music.
He became a fan of Bellevue Cadillac at a show at the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, NH. Bellevue Cadillac has a show scheduled January 25 at Tupelo. Bellevue Cadillac and Tupelo Hall have graciously decided to have this performance in memory of our good friend and fan, Robert Saitow, and some of the proceeds of the show will be donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank in his memory.
This will be a fun and entertaining evening! There will be some raffle items, including a trip for two for four nights to Puerto Rico with air and two rounds of golf.
If you’ve never seen Bellevue Cadillac before, you are in for a treat! Billboard Magazine dubbed them “the baby boomer band that could and still can,” in an article that said: “Bellevue Cadillac proves that you don't need record company support to create national attention and recognition. They've toured nationally and internationally, had their music in television shows, and major motion pictures, and are recorded on almost 20 cd’s in 30 countries.” Check them out at www.bellevuecadillac.com.
And if you haven’t discovered Tupelo Music Hall yet, you will be glad you did! It’s a small, intimate music venue with an excellent roster of entertainment. They were voted “Best of New Hampshire” awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007. It’s truly “all about the music.”
Tickets for the event are $22 and can be bought on their website at www.tupelohall.com. Tupelo is a BYOB venue and there is a $3 per person BYOB fee.

Kick Start

Hi All,

I too, am new to this group. After reading some of the posts, it looks like we need a "kick start" pun intended.
Ok, I am not particularly happy and am looking for support in this area. Lets get things going here and help each other out. I have not read Loretta's books...has anyone else? I would like to see one of her "talks" "lectures" or whatever they are called. I think they may be fun and informative. Anyone have any suggestions for me other than buying the book, cause I have NO money honey...lol
