How to Post a Picture to a Let's Talk Message

Open a photobucket account. Once that's done~ click on 'BROWSE' and find any picture you have saved on your computer. Then click on 'UPLOAD' button. Once it uploads, you'll see your picture (scroll down a little if you have to) and under the picture you'll see some choices....click on 'HTML tag' and it will say 'COPIED'....then come to the message you're writing and 'RIGHT CLICK' where you want the picture and PASTE.

Let's Talk About.............?

Several months ago, I posed a question... What do you feel comfortable talking about, discussing or debating? What subject or subjects do you consider yourself knowledgable enough in, to carry on a conversation with someone?

Here's your chance to do just that... tell us something about your background, heritage, interests, hobbies, job or whatever you enjoy talking about. And we'll just take it from there... either commenting on or adding our own interests to the list. (Exceptions will be politics & religion, please). That way we'll keep it friendly! So come on in and join the Let's Talk Forum! .....

I'll start with a subject close to my heart...(and tummy) - Cooking. I love to cook; mostly Italian, some PA Dutch, Southern, Chinese and Mexican!
Having an Italian father and a Welsh/German mother, I learned quickly at home as a child, since both parents were good cooks. Food was always the centerpiece of our holiday gatherings. Luckily, I married an English/German girl (Italian by Marriage), who also shares my love of food and is willing to try new things.."at least once", as she says. Our three grown children have carried on the tradition.
My clain to fame is that I can make something out of most anything! I like a challange... nothing in the house to eat, no problem, I'll find something and make it tasty!

Okay, it's your turn...Let's Talk! ....................

Good MorningTuesday!

Photobucket

Good Morning everyone! Wow! How quiet eveything gets around here the minute those little darlings go out the door to catch their bus! LOL! Whew! I'm so ready for that cup of coffee! Now as to some breakfast for us all. How about some bagel sandwiches? There's all kinds of stuff to make them with, from thin sliced turkey, honey baked ham, sausage or bacon. Add an egg, fried, scrambled or poached, and a slice of cheese, and you've got a better one than you'll ever get in a drive-thru! On the side, I have a fruit platter you can pick whatever you like from. Of course the neverending pot of coffee is fresh and hot, and the oj chilled to perfection. To finish off, I have a a batch of raisin bran muffins that are still warm from the oven. All I need is for y'all to drop in and enjoy!

Reporting back from Germany.....

Guten Tag! (Good day) The Magic bus touched down in Ulm, Germany this morning just as the European sunshine was about to make it's presence known. The group bus was full of "Talking" members, and excitment filled the air around us. Dang and I began our tour of the town with a few members in tow. But, since everyone had things to do, we didn't try to hold anyone back from splitting the locale to parts unknown.

The City of Ulm has their parades on the Danube River instead of the city streets. There is much more room on the water for "floats" of any size and plenty of room on the banks for viewing.

The river goes right through the middle of the two cities, and is the dividing line between Ulm and Neu Ulm (New Ulm). The river is so much a part of their lives that they look for every excuse to go there. Naturally, they hold boat races and rowing competitions of all manner there.

The first thing we did, (Dang and I and a few members) was to climb to the very top of the steeple. It was much harder for me to do nowdays. I remember running up many of the 900+ steps, and today, I stopped for a breather many times. Dang was scared of the height, so he dug his talons into my shoulder every time I looked over the edge at the people below. For a parrot, he's kind of a sissy about the flying thing. Here is one view from the top......

The cathedral is beautiful at night, also. Here is the view from the Danube river looking at the Muenster just before daylight this morning....

Many many more photos to come as we progress through our nine day tour here. Keep checking back to this same message for updates and more photos as they are available. Gotta go rescue Dang from the local fraulines. If he starts nibbling on ears, we may spend some time in the police department.

debate

Just wondering if everyone will be watching the debate on tuesday night...I was really impressed with sarah palin on thrusday night, i can't believe how intelligent she is and seems to connect with the american people. too bad she is not running for president..ha..After watching fox news tonight and what i learned about obama from hannity's america i can't believe anybody would actually vote for somebody that radical but to each his own i guess..I won't have to face my God and my Lord with blood on my hands for voting for someone that advocates the killing of full term babies that have been aborted and left to die because that happen to survive an abortion....what do uyou all think? Good Monday Morning!

Photobucket

Good morning guys! Sorry I can't wait around and have breakfast with y'all, but I'm on the run today. Got an early doctor's appt. (at the clinic), and then afterward I'll be going over to Mom's. Anyway, I've left y'all some of my homemade granola, as well as some whole wheat bread for toast. There's also a large bowl of mixed fruit in the fridge. The coffee's on a timer and will be ready when you are, and there's a pitcher of fresh oj also in the fridge. For those of you with a sweet tooth, there's some fresh donuts next to the coffee. I'd appreciate it if someone would switch off the coffee pot when you're all done. Thanks!

Good morning

How is everyone doing this fine fall day? We finally turned the furnace on this morning because it is getting cooler every day in Ky. Our leaves are beginning to change, are yours, or do you live where you see few changes?
