Ho often is too often to bathe our dogs?

This has never been a concern of mine before because if Harley felt really greasy or was smelly, he got a bath. But with our upcoming Red Cross stuff, one of the criterias for him to visit is that he is bathed and has his nails trimmed.

He will hopefully be visiting twice a month, and there is no way I think that bathing him twice a month (especially in the winter!) is good for him or for his coat. I know I can flush out his ears and he will smell fantastic, but I also want him to feel soft and pettable.

He never gets to swim here unless it's a special occasion, so with that in mind, how often do the rest of you guys bathe your lab?

2nd request

I would like to do something special for the end of the year, which is only a few months away.
I am asking all of you to send me a biography on your puppies, dogs, furry friends etc. The info is as follows:

Name (Owner)
Name (dog)
Location (state)
Date of birth
Sex
age
Breed
and anything else you can think of.
If you have several dogs please list all.
Please add a photo of each dog with the name of the dog.

Please send this to sailor1845@msn.com or to my private email on EONS.

Thank you in advance

ROAD TRIP

Shanti is now the seasoned traveler. She did a gondola ride, miles and miles in the back of the truck. Elevators, hotel room, and a crowd at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.
Each time the truck stopped, she would pick up her head, do I get to get out?, No? OK, back to sleep. Do I get to get out now? Yes? Yipee! Sniff, sniff, run swim run sniff.
YAY I'm home with mama Mia.

Fantastic story!

This story just made me cry, it is so sad and wonderful at the same time. Mtndona, you will especially love this. The story is a transcript of the video, so if you don't have the connection to watch it, you can just read the article. (but if you have the connection for the video, it's very, very good!)
