How To Give A Cat A Pill
This is an oldie, but still funny. :-)
1) Pick up cat carefully and gently cradle it on its back in the crook of your left arm as though you were holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb gently on either side of cat’s mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in left hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

Cat Haiku
Here are some haiku poems I wrote about the various cats who have allowed me to wait on them over the years. I posted these in a poetry group, but thought fellow cat lovers may like them too.
I must supervise.
I’ll hide here, in the window
And direct the show.
Danger! Excitement!
Hiding here, in your closet.
Stalking a shadow.
A tapping finger!
Crouching low, ready to pounce.
Drat! It got away.
Sex of a lifetime!
Outside your bedroom window.
You’re a light sleeper.
I don’t just relax.
Pouring myself on the floor,
I am fast at peace.
Your fancy cat toys
Bore me. I think I’d rather
Play with this dead bug.
Can I touch my back
To the outside of your leg,
So you know I’m here?
I purr and touch you
Sometimes even lick your hand,
Because I cannot smile.
