Today
It was a lazy Saturday morning
Rather common at the start
The usual eggs with buttered toast toast
I was grateful Till the "roast"
I hung in very quietly
While he vented all his rage
After all men go to work and it's tough
Women only collect a wage.
Men shouldn't have to vacuum
Or do their laundry-too!
In addition to their job
That beats them through and through.
The home is their castle
Their sofa is their throne
Their den is secret-private
With computers all their own!
I wonder sometimes
Listening carefully to ever nuance
What have I been doing all these years?
Twenty-four/Seven throwing bon-bons in my face?
The menapause are awful-
He will never know
He rarely ever listens
And no sympathy does he show.
So in a quiet moment of frenzy
As the skies poured down the rain
I flung this body out the door
Was I crazy or was I sane?
I drove two miles to the butcher
We had a few short laughs
I apologized for how I looked
He was just glad to see me back.
Storms of nature, I can handle
Phone calls - I am accustomed to answering everyone.
It's the rude, sarcastic behavior from the one I love
That literally leaves me dumb.
Just some thoughts.

A great thought
If everyone would live life as William Penn puts it here we would be in a much better place..."I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being,let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
