AKC Announces New Program for Mixed Breeds
The AKC's Board of Directors has voted unanimously to proceed with a program for mixed breed dogs which will allow it to act even more broadly and effectively as the dog's champion. The creation of this program ushers in new opportunities for AKC's constituents and clubs and will allow the organization to grow and flourish.

Here is a picture of Dalton (Dreamweaver's Dirty Dancin). I co-own Dalton with his breeder. I'm very excited about Dalton Dalton, his brother Johnny and his sire will be attending the Pom National and be shown in the stud dog class next spring.
His Sire, Ch. Dreamweaver's Rockin Robin is a multiple BB, BISS, and placed 4th in a very tough toy Group at the Houston show yesterday (11/07)

In search of handler...
I am moving from NC to Rochester NY, and am looking for a handler for my Bull Terrier in conformation shows. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good, SAFE, reliable handler in the Rochester area. We are looking to show in the New England area shows. They need to be familiar with the breed, and able to handle a stubborn, and sometimes obnoxious terrorist…er..terrier.
What's Your Breed?
I am very curious as to what breed(s) everyone currently has or is breeding/showing . I was hoping that we could get one continuous reply going so we can find others with the same breed if we have specific questions etc. Some of us have our breeds clearly listed in our profile picture, but with others, it's unclear. It would also be interesting to see how many breeds are represented in the forum.

What are feeding your dogs?
I was off work almost the entire month of May. When Eagle Pack went up to $53.00 a bag, I just couldn't afford it anymore. I picked up a couple of bags of Kirkland Chicken and Rice at Costco for $21.00 a bag.
A friend told me that the Kirkland brand dogfood was on Whole Dog Journals recommended foods list. So far, the crew is doing well, except the poo is a lot more aromatic than it was on Eagle Pack.
I plan on preparing their food from scratch and will start on that next week.. Have a several good recipes to start with -

group realignment question
I read in Dog News I think that the group realignment is now up in the air because the Malamute and Siberian clubs are adamantly opposed to being moved from the Working group to the new Northern group. I wonder why? I also wonder how FCI handles those breeds? just curious..

My next show puppy
One of these little furballs will be coming to live with me in about 8 weeks. The sire is the number 16 rated pom right now. Mom already has her first major. I like them all - so I'll get my friend (and breeder) to pick out my pup.
