HTML Workshop Group: Messages by artistinmaine

Sorry for the cut and pasted message (some of which may not apply) ... but...

I decided to resurrect the web site I created for the old Eons Art Gallery and reinvent the Eons Artists Gallery. All the old links to member's profiles are active again.

Please go to view link to see if (1) your link still works, and (2) if you have time note those who have left and PM me.

I still think this could work for the benefit of every Artist on Eons. If you aren't now a member of the Eons Artists Gallery and are past members of the Eons Art Gallery, you might want to PM me should you desire not to be included in this new format. If you are members of other groups of Artists, Photographers and were once interested in the all encompassing Gallery, or know of others who might wish to be included, perhaps you might spread the word to for them join the Eons Artists Gallery.

This is a whole lot of work on my part but I sincerely think that it was a good idea then and is a good idea now. Who knows, maybe you'll get some work from this Gallery. If you no longer wish to be associated with that particular web site, please PM me personally... I especially would like to see computer generated art represented and would ask all of you here to associate yourself with this listing.

I linked articles and testimonials to one page in my newest site. Today I got an email telling me that when someone clicks on them they leave the site and asked me to make these links open as another tap within the site. I did it in Dreamweaver MX. How do I do this?

Sometimes the simplest problems have the most simple solutions. My problem was solved immediately but I didn't realize until early this morning and that was just by chance, that if I clicked on the plus sign under my banner, not only did my group home page look exactly like it did before all these changes, complete with a full version of all the messages which my members missed, but that graphic of the groups M&M's appeared clear as a bell exactly where I wanted it.

Duh, all I had to do was to change i to I in images, and bingo. Thanks folks, now all i have to figure out is how to change the font color in certain areas, but hey, the heck with that, this was tough enough.

Am trying to add a gif image as the background of my profile page.
First I went into dreamweaver and posted the photo at the bottom of my index page and uploaded it.
then I went to several of this group's strings and came up with this

src="http://www.yourbasicwebpage.com/ art/images/rockbackground.gif" title="background");
font-weight:bold;
background-repeat: repeat}

Then added it to my edit history section and saved it.

but it doesn't work. The type is thankfully bold which I prefer but the image doesn't appear. Any suggestions?
