Major Kudos for Lee!

What a noble gesture to the eons community. The hours of work and effort you have donated are very evident and appreciated. There are only 48 of us at this post, but I know the numbers will increase as others find this great resource. So much to absorb for novices like me, who enjoy learning new things. Thank you for your unselfish contribution.

p.s. Expect a few questions.

Saving your YouTube Favorites

I ran across this article that may be of interest to Arkansasrita and the rest of us who have recently discovered YouTube and enjoy the site. It is full of information and even offers some demonstrational videos.

Since my computer is old and I don’t wish to burden it with more downloadable software, I chose the Zamzar program. It’s fast and easy (after figuring out which format I want them to convert a file to) and it’s FREE.

It looks like there are plenty of options.

what to do with youtube

Once you get your video-music from "the olden days" on youtube sent to your email, how do you "store/transfer" that for listening pleasure? Found some from MY past life I would really like to keep. Is this all part of HTML?

On the Other Hand...

"I would like to learn how to place a nice "safety zone" on my computer...one that keeps the stalkers/hackers out of my personal business when I am on the internet! Is that done with HTML?"

Actually, what you are seeking are programs designed to intercept, search for, confine, delete or otherwise take proper action against adware, certain cookies, hijack attempts, trojans, viruses, etc., etc.

There are a variety of programs available, but, for the past seven years, I have used three highly respected and five star level programs that are absolutely free to individual users and extremely effective!

AVG by Grisoft: AVG Anti-Virus FREE Edition is one of the most popular solutions to provide basic security protection on home and non-commercial PCs.

Zone Alarm by Check Point: An excellent FREE firewall that offers protection against penetration by cloaking you on the Internet! This FREE version includes a new award-winning antivirus engine that detects and removes a wider variety of threats with hourly signature updates to ensure that users have the industry’s most rapid and effective protection against emerging attacks.

ADAWARE SE by Lavasoft: With the ability to scan your RAM, Registry, hard drives, and external storage devices for known data-mining, advertising, and tracking components, Ad-Aware SE easily can clean your system, allowing you to maintain a higher degree of privacy while you surf the Web. The program is absolutely FREE for personal use!

Hope that helps you out!
