Blooming Plants
I love blooming indoor plants, especially in the winter since everything is dormant outside now, where I live. My "Christmas" cactus is blooming now, as it always does this time of year. Also, I have three orchids that are sending up bloom stalks, and may all be blooming at the same time! That's what I am hoping for. My little African violet is also blooming. They bring so much cheer this time of year!
Morning Glory
When I planted the seeds I thought that mabey a few would make it. Boy was I wrong. They have taken over worse than English Ivy. It is like you put one out and then another and another pops up. I had to take the plant and litterly cut and pull. I can only hope that when it comes back I will have trellis's every where so they can climb. Who knows mabey I will have the first plant that grows to the Space Shuttle.
Inside Flowers
Good morning all, hope you are enjoying a good weekend. I will be planting my Amaryllis and Paperwhites today as I must have something blooming in the house in the winter. Of course they won't last all winter so once I start them I wait for two weeks and start more, that way it looks like spring in my house.
Summer to Winter....
Now that our gardens are history, well for the most part anyway, do you have any plans of doing something else with them for over the winter?
I'm going to make a holiday garden. Do some pumpkins, gourds, and fall flowers up till Thanksgiving weekend and then deck it out for Christmas. Not planting anything just going to use pots and freestanding items. Much better than leaving just a bare plot of ground out there until spring.

Sorta like this only on a larger scale.

I have a new crop of tomatoes!
Our tomatoes started looking like they were dying about a month ago my husband put some Miracle Grow on them then it rained alot. Now we have a bunch of new tomatoes. These are yellow tomatoes. We grow those because they have a lower acid content and my husband is allergic to red tomatoes. Next year we will grow German Pinks because they are even lower in acid and taste better. We live in NE Georgia so maybe they will be ready for harvest before first frost. I hope so no one even sells yellow tomatoes up here in Hooterville! LOL
