Site woes again

Is any one else having troubles, or is it just me?
The whole eons site is sooooo slow, and does little mini freeze ups on me as I try to navigate.
I tried form work on the networked machines and got the same results, so I am thinking it shouldn't just be me, although with my 'puter track record.....could be ;-)

First trail ride of the year!

What a great day. Sunshine, birds singing, snow is hanging on in patches and piles, but there is clear ground showing here and there.
My friend Carla and I hit the trail for our first outing this year.
Aside from killer piles of snow, and horse eating frozen puddles, it was awesome. Weather was just about thawing ( I prefer that to justunder freezing LOL) and the horses enjoyed it as much as we did.
Goober did a giant leap for horse-kind to get himself past a group of three killer bog spots, and you could almost hear him laughing at himself once we were safely past.
Roll on spring!
-now isn't the time to dwell on the fact that they have called for heavy rains and warmer temps for the next two days, right? YUKKY mud!

Can anyone here tell me how I can get to READ the

I have had 3 calls in to the help desk over the last 2 1/2 weeks, since the format changed, and I have only had one response, and that only addressed the part of my question that was not the real probelm. I get titles and posters, but no messages or responses.
Please send a message privately, as obviously I cannot read a response here!
How frustrating.

Whose horse was that? ( Game )

O.K. guys, it works this way. If you know the answer to the question, then you give the name, and then add a question of your own that asks the identity of a well known equine, real or fictional. O.K.?
here is the first question:
What was the name of Dale Evans' horse?

New Mare meltdown

I had a new mare ship in yesterday for the winter season ( I do track turn outs ) She is a very big mare, over 17hh, huge heartgirth. She comes with a terrible reputation as to being difficult to handle, aggressive and extremely territorial about her stall space. I gave her the large stall directly in from the main door which is about mid point of my long 17 stall barn. This stall is directly beside the drop hole from the overhead hay mow.
I talked reassuringly to her as I lowered the ladder through the overhead trap door, continued my chattering as I slowly climbed up...no problems so far. Only startle reflex as I dropped the bales, continuing to talk to her from above so she can hear my voice ( and hopefully be reassured *G* ) All went fine until I started coming down the ladder.
Holy aliens from above Batman!!
The poor mare just had a total meltdown.
I think she thought that the words must have been this horse eating monster saying grace.
Needless to say I had to wait a bit to let her settle before I went in to try to make peace.
Poor Bella...what a way to get to know a new place.

I got my new baby home! (long*G*)

Well it was quite the adventure. First he got caught up with that bad weather last week in the American north central????( I apologise, my American State knowledge is limited ) Anyway, the shipper had to take a lengthy detour because of weather. he started out in North Dakota. he couldn't bring him across the border, so I had to arrange through a friend of a friend for a barn in Buffalo that would hold him for me to facilitate the transfer. My second shipper started out taking a load of racehorses to Florida on the Monday, and in a perfect world would have been coming back through as the first shipper dropped the wee lad off. Bill, my second shipper broke down in South Carolina and parts had to be ordered! No easy transfer there. Frantic phone calls, wonderful horse people, and the lad was able to stay indefinitely until I could make arrangements, or Bill could get fixed.
Friends of mine rallied to the cause, and the barn in Buffalo was marvelous, and he stayed there for the 3 days until Mike and Donna could go and get him for me this last Saturday afternoon.
But he is home, safe and sound!!
It was a tough ship on the wee laddie, he is only 6 mos old, and he dropped a ton of weight as naturally, ( and I am thankful for it ) he got no grain on the ship.
It has taken a day or two to build him back up to full grain feed, but he is starting to look a lot better already.
He has a babysitter, my 22 y.o. Arab Q'hoss cross, and they get along famously. We had a few issues about going into the barn..he had been out 24-7! He didn't mind the barn as such, but that doorway was sure scary. No problem while admiring friends were here, but the first in trip when I was by myself took 45 min!!!! I learned a lot about his personality though...and I LOVE it! No sillies, no rebellious behaviour...just " No lady, I don't think so...I will stay here. Yes, you can push me, yes, I'll back up, yes, you can pull/push me off balance, but No, I don't think I will go through that door if you don't mind."Other babies I have dealt with would more than likely have pulled back, gone in the air, or otherwise raised the amount of resisitance if I wasn't "hearing" what they were telling me. This one just calmly and quietly kept saying No, I don't think I will...but he wasn't mulish about it at all. I'm thinking the boy will have a great mind!!! Oh I am so happy!
He is an Azteka B colt, and all the legs are where they should be. I can hardly wait to see him with his meat on, and not just that lovely grey/brown silky fur that is about 1 inch long!!!
I am not cyber capable, in fact I am a total squib, so I appologise in advance that there will likely not be pictures...at least until my daughter comes home for Christmas *G*
But you can take it from me, (not that I am biased at ALL!!!) he is handsome, and perfect in every way *G* he also has the cutest little ears, that turn in at the tips.

I'm so excited

I have just bought a weanling Azteca B colt from a wonderful breeder in N.D.. He is currently being shipped to me here in southern Ontario. A long ride for my little boy. The good news is that the shipper is very thoughtful and professional, and is avoiding the bad weather, and giving my lad a lot of layover time at scheduled stops along the way to consider both his needs, driver slees, and weather conditions. It will most likely take at least another 3 days for him to get here, but I couldn't wait to share the news.
He is such a handsome lad, and I am very excited to have him.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with Andalusians? Or better yet Andy crosses?
One has appeared on my radar screen *G* and I am overcome with temptation.
