Nor'easter heading our way!
If we are to believe the weathermen in our area, we should be preparing for a whole lot of snow and a whole lot of wind moving this way tonight, lasting into Saturday night. The good news is that I am off of work until Monday. The bad news is that I may be swallowed up by panic stricken shoppers tomorrow in the grocery store, never to be heard from again... Anyway, Barney really had fun in our last snow and this strorm could produce eight inches or more of snow, so the dogs should love it.
I have the day off today, need to do a few errands and will finish wrapping presents.
Have a great day, and TGIF!!

Okay...
So tomorrow night we have tickets for Judy Collins in Spring Lake Heights, NJ. I've been so excited, but now we are hearing weather horror stories. As some of you may remember...I HATE HATE HATE SNOW (I may not have mentioned it). I'm so scared, even though the sun is still shining! The show is pretty nearby, and Vic swears he will get us there...but will Judy Blue Eyes get there???
If you see Paisley
aka Alison, on Friday.
Wish her the Happiest, Highest, and most wonderful
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all my hippy friends,, The Christmas we get we deserve
Greetings from the North Pole!
Hi guys,
It's 1:50pm. and I am sitting in a closed library without any heat. I'm wearing a thermal T, sweatshirt, heavy sweater, wool hat and I am freezing. Actually we closed at 12:45, but someone had to wait for the company to come and try to fix the heat. Being the Boss has it's negative side
and this is part of it. Waiting, waiting and waitng, while everybody else gets to go home. The guy just came upstairs. Heat fixed and I get to go home! Have a great weekend everyone see you guys on Monday.

Jeff Beck & Eric Clapton – Together & Apart
Bijou, you are a very lucky girl to have scored these tickets-we will want details after the concert!
Jeff Beck & Eric Clapton – Together & Apart – Feb. 18, 2009, Madison Square Garden New York
On the heels of a stunning collaboration in Tokyo, Japan last February and after the announcement of two sold-out shows at the 02 Arena in London in February 2010, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will share the stage at Madison Square Garden on February 18 & 19.
U.S. audiences recently saw Jeff Beck’s guitar mastery at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th Anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden. Beck’s 40-minute set with guests such as Sting, Buddy Guy and Billy Gibbons along with a blistering rendition of “Superstition” in Stevie Wonder’s set received strong critical acclaim.
The Beck-Clapton collaboration will undoubtedly be one of the must-see shows of this decade, where the artists will perform together and apart. Both former members of the Yardbirds, the duo have shared the stage at Festivals and benefits previously, but the Japan shows at the Saitama Super Arena marked the first time they had shared the bill at a major arena.

NEW HERO
The World Peace post prompted me to share. I have a new hero. His name is Greg Mortenson, and he has written two very stunning books. The first was, "Three Cups of Tea". The latest is "Stones into Schools: Promoting Peace with Books, not bombs, in Afghanistan and Pakistan". The military is beginning to listen.
I quote from Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff: "all of us are better off when all of us have the opportunity to learn, especially our children. By helping them learn and grow, Greg is shaping the very future of a region and giving hope to an entire generation."
Central Asian Institute, Pennies for Peace, and both books have websites. A truly remarkable man, and a remarkable mission. I have learned much.

Can you believe this?
Yesterday, here in Dallas, a man pinched a woman's behind in a supermarket checkout line. The woman is a police officer in full uniform at the time. She arrested the man. Do you suppose that man has a thing for female cops?
