Hello To Everyone:
I am new to this group. I just read the post my Cramy. My goodness after reading your items of what is to much and what is ok what is there out there to eat?
I do like vegitables and fruit. We try and eat more chicken (boneless, skinless) we eat quite a bit of pork, mostly pork chops and steaks. We only like halibut and can't afford the prices so that is out.
I have slightly high blood pressure and trying to shop for low sodium is just a joke. MY cholesterol is high also. I am going to have it checked this week but I sure would like to get of the pills for BOTH!
We are both over weight but especially me. At one time I weighed 203. I am 5' 3" tall. I lost 50 pounds by walking and only eating oatmeal, two pieces of toast and 8 oz of milk for dinner. I think the combination of the two helped especially the dinner meal. It is hard to cook for my husband and then eat my oatmeal. I guess I have just lost my drive?!
I have osterarthritis and it is getting quite bad so I know that I have to do something drastic and soon!
The side effects from the high blood pressure pills are more than I can bear. I just really want to get off all the pills and try and live life healthly without the darn drugs. I cannot take any antiflamitory pills due to acid reflux but I think that is a good thing.
Well I guess that is the long and short of it.
Any words of wissom for this old soul?
