A Dog's Purpose?
A Dog's Purpose?
(from a 6-year-old).
Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish
Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa,
and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and
they were hoping for a miracle.
I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the
family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform
the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.
As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would
be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as
though Shane might learn something from the experience.
The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker 's family
surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last
time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few
minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.
The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty
or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's death, wondering
aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ''I know why.''
Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd
never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try to live.
He said,''People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life, like
loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?''
The six-year-old continued, "Well. dogs already know how to do that,
so they don't have to stay as long".
Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent,
sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

A miracle that a friend told me...
I will try to tell you what happened to me. Some has been told to me by my family that lived through this with me. And the Drs.
This was 3 nearly 4 yrs ago
I had been feeling ill for a while and had gone to my DRs. in several areas trying to find out what was wrong with me. I was told that everything checked out ok and what did I want my Dr to do. He suggested that I go home and take a couple of aspirin and breath hard through a brown paper bag. That was two days prior to my final trial. I was in another city where we worked on Mon and just felt very tired and lack of interest. I saw a dr. there and he said I had nemonia and began treatment. I stayed in the room . Went to get some thing to eat in the refrig. and fell hitting my head . I called my husbanc and he came to help me. I dont remember much from then on. He said I laid down on the bed and he thought I was resting, I then fought to sit up and he said I was beating my chest and making horible gurggling noises. He called 911. They took me to the hosp. and tests but could not find my problem. Said they didnt have the equipment to treat me. I was then put on a life flight to Salt Lake City, Utah. They told my husband that I probably would not survivie. I went into a comma of which I remainde in for 6 days. The Drs. kept treating me for neumonia but I want responding to anything. Finally they did some tests and felt that indications were that I had low sodium and potasium levels (Critical) neumonia and spinal Meningitis. They couldnt tell what kind it was so just started treating me. Finally within hrs. I was responding and interacting with the nurses. At this time I experienced the most remarkable life altering of my life. I felt the most undescribabe sense of peace. Nothing like ever experienced in this life. My husband and family were told that I probably would not get more than 25 percent of my memeory back. With Gods help and lots of work over a yr. I have nearly all of my memory back today. i have moments that I cant call something up as fast as I would like, but then I am getting a older and ya know the old saying its an age thing. LOL
My Drs. have told me along with other drs. for other phsical problems that I have, that by all circumstances I should not be here. I should have died. God was with me and gave me strength and peace to carry on. I try to make each and every day count and do as much as I can to show caring and love and peace to as many as I can. I will carry on as long as God wants me to and be at peace when he is ready for me to come home.
I applogize if I have misspelled . This is very emotional for me.
I love my God and am testimony to his power and comfort.

They carry children, pains and heavy stuff, but have room for happiness, love and joy.

Expect a phone call from her man, warning him to get healthy and telling him that the stranger.
Women have special qualities.
Are available for good causes, volunteer in hospitals and bring food to the needy.
They work as nannies, housewives, lawyers, and resolve disputes between children and neighbors.
They wear suits, jeans, uniforms and miniskirts. The women walk long ways to get the best school for their children and better care for the health of your family.
Do not take "no" answer when they believe there is a solution.
The women write a love letter to her man, and know how to ask forgiveness and forgive. They are intelligent and know its power, however, use their softer side when they want to accomplish something.
The women are happy or cry when they hear about a birth or marriage.
They know that a hug, a kiss and an "I Love You" can heal a broken heart.
A woman can make a morning, afternoon or a romantic evening unforgettable.
Women come in all sizes, colors and shapes, living in houses, rooms, cabins.

National Speaking Tour!!
I havent been on Eons for about a year, but that doesnt mean I forgot about everybody here. I have been extremely busy with my Hospice Counseling and making wishes come true for sick children. I will be going back on my National Speaking tour starting in March of 2012. I will be speaking at the National Afterlife Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My presentation will be on animal communication. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. Love and peace to all.
