Profile Photos
I figured out that if you remove a photo from your Profile Photos it also removed that photo from any album you may have it in. I was in hopes that after I have placed all my photos in albums that I could remove the Profile Photos Album. Rose
Internet Hoaxes
I had originally posted this in Advisors, but EonsDesignerGal asked that I post here instead, so here it is:
I would like to very strongly suggest that before eons members post messages about this or that sensational rumor that has come their way, that they do a few minutes of homework and check to see if the information they are posting is true and they are not just repeating a lot of hooey that winds up getting people all upset about nothing. There are sites on the internet devoted to getting to the bottom of internet rumors, the best known one of these being snopes.com. It also doesn't hurt to check with the supposed source of the rumor; for instance, before you post a message about the causes of cancer supposedly attributed to Johns Hopkins, try going to the Johns Hopkins website to see if they actually are the source of the information (they are not). I have seen many of these internet rumors passed off as fact in many different groups on eons and it seems to me that whoever originates these hoaxes is having a lot of fun at the expense of the rest of us.
Then again, you have to wonder at the agenda of people who delete the references to the websites that debunk the hoaxes that have been posted.

I tried to change my greeting on my profile page. Now, all I have an "x" in a box. What happened? How can I correct this? Thanks for your help.
Re-ordering my page
I need to know if I can re-organize my page, put my life pat on top, delete some other boxes. Also need to know what a widget is and how to add a custom one. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks
Searching Messages
Just thought I would mention that when you have a question about something here on Eons, try doing a search of the messages.
I'm mentioning this because I've noticed just within the last few days, different people have posted questions about the same topic, sometimes within hours of someone else asking the same question.
Searching for previous messages or threads is relatively simple.
While on the group (Getting Around On Eons) home page, click on the button
"View All Messages".
Then you will see this on the right side of the screen:
In the search box, type in a subject word. Keep it simple if possible. One or two words will work the best.
So, if you have a question about how to put a playlist on your profile page, type in Playlist or Music. That will bring up several past messages or threads and it will probably answer your question.
I would suggest checking out the most recent messages first, rather than the older ones, in case any of the improvements made here on Eons might have changed the How To instructions.
When you find a message that sounds similar to your subject, just click on the title of the message that will show up in blue.
Sometimes you might need to read more than one message to find the exact answer that will work for you.
Of course, if you still have questions or an answer just does not work for you, always go ahead and post your question. Don't be shy.

Just Curious
How does eons monitor the activities of its many members? Also, I've noticed on the right side of my profile whenever I go to my groups, there are recent messages not exactly mind but from others as well. Do these recent messages have a relevance to the topic posted or a recent reply to such message?
REMOVING ALBUMS
Question: If I remove my "Profile Photos Album" will it remove the photos from that album that have been placed in other albums? I'm trying to clean up the albums in my photo center. Thanks, Rose
Photo Upload problems
Hi.
I have been trying to upload photos from my PC to my Profile for new photo albums. I am well within my photo quota but what is happening is that the photo says is is being uploaded but then the process gets stuck and i get a server not responding message. I have to do alt cntl del, to force out of the task manager to end the EON upload photo process. Any sugggestions? regards, Lorenza Angelo

leave a group
ok ... i thought i knew how to do this ... how can i leave a group ... went to view all my groups, selected the one i wanted to leave (using the edit email function), went down to the bottom of the page and clicked on the "leave this group" button ... but it doesn't work .. all it does is take me over to the actual group ... am i doing something wrong?????
