Getting Around on Eons (GAoE) is Your Go-To Group!

This group is devoted to helping you get answers to your questions and helping new and old members find their way around Eons!

GROUP GUIDELINES:

As with all Eons Support Groups, the Eons Terms of Use are strictly enforced: no bad behavior will be tolerated, as Eons Team firmly believes that if your comment is not conducive to the dialog, it's not relevant, appropriate, or welcome in this particular group.

If you have a specific issue, please first try using the search box at the right of the page and in broad search terms see if other Eons members have already found an answer to your question, if not please feel free to start a new discussion topic!

To start a new discussion topic, just post a message with the subject of the question in the Title box. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible when asking a question so members can provide the help quickly.

Eons Members are encouraged to use this “go-to” group in order to:

1) Report spam, abuse and Terms of Use violations.

2) Troubleshoot your Eons account issues

3) Get the latest news on site updates, new features and fixed functions being released on Eons.com.

4) Ask a question about, well, getting around on Eons!

Be sure to also check the “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)” for immediate answers to some of our most commonly received member questions.

A New Year, A New EonsTeam

Hello Eons members!

Please note, going forward in the new year EonsTeam will now be fully managing the four main Eons Help & Support Groups - including Getting Around On Eons. We've arrived at a stage where we can take the weight off our wonderful volunteers' shoulders by managing the day-to-day duties of these groups and allow them to enjoy more fully the groups they themselves have developed.

You shouldn't notice too much of an impact to these groups as EonsTeam makes this transition, and these volunteer Managers and Moderators for the four Eons Help & Support Groups will continue to share their fantastic site knowledge with us daily.

Please join me in thanking our volunteers for the immense support they've given and will continue to offer EonsTeam and the community - this is the stuff great social networks are made of!

private email

"Sally Smith" and I are both belong to group "X" on Eons.
Neither of us are a manager or moderator in that group. Both just basic members. She sends me a private message.
However, when I click on "my Eons" and then private messages, her private message is not there. Instead, I find it at my private email address that I never gave her and that I thought was only given to Eons when I 1st joined. How is this possible? Is it because she IS a manager of another Eons group, which I dont belong to? Do managers have this capability? or is it something else?

I'm one of our "skinners" as one eons members says

And I have a question. When someone else uses one of our skins, why does it show up as their skin?
example.....
"ccdecks now using the skin A WORLD OF LOVE by ccdecks - about 20 hours ago "

I just made that skin a few days ago. Just curious.

Ya know how when you write a reply to a Thread, at the end of your reply, it will have your profile pic and posted by (in my case) OceanJames.....well, I just went back into a group Im on, and re-read a reply I had written earlier, and I now notice that, somehow, there is a completely different pic married to all my replies. I went to another group Im on here at Eons and the same "different" pic is by my thread-reply's there, too. I did not upload this pic. It isnt one of mine. But its there. Where did it come from and why is it now associated/present with all I have written? I have not tried writing a new thread, originating one of my own, since this new pic has arrived. Why has my old profile pic (which is still there in my profile if i click on view profile)...why is a new pic now displayed with all my old replys in threads? I never uploaded that pic, of some guy sshowing off his chest in the sun. It should be a sunset/nature pic.

Quetion

If there is a very positive post with lots of positive feedback about a celebrity, is there any way we can forward that post to that particular celebrity? We'd really love for her know that we support her in a huge way. Thanks for your answers.

Was wondering if we can re-set our page view numbers.Mine is at 699 and I wanted to reset it to 0 so that I could see how many I get this year...Just wondering... Thanks. Tina
