Hello, and thanks for joining me here at Fuggedaboudit. By now, you may know that I'm an investigative journalist as well as the author of a book about what happens to memory and attention in midlife, called CARVED IN SAND. It was published last April by HarperCollins Publishers, and hung out for awhile on New York Times Bestsellers List. If you want to know more about the book, you can go to www.carvedinsand.com.
In this group and blog, I'll be talking about all aspects of forgetfulness. Cognition, as they call it, is the ultimate multidisciplinary field, encompassing science, medicine, psychology, sociology, anthropology, linguistics -- you name it. I'll address all of them, but what I like best is getting on-the-ground stories. What happened to YOU on the way to the refrigerator?
Call it what you will -- and there are no end of euphemisms* -- forgetfulness makes almost everyone in midlife feel like they're snapping their crackers.
I look forward to your responses to my blog, and your participation in the Fuggedaboudit group! Feel free to chime in anytime, on any subject -- before you forget what you were going to say!
