thank you for the invite to join your group. This is really good as I live in a very rural area and on days like today with a foot of snow it is difficult to get to a meeting. Here at least I can vent if I need and read others hopes and progress in their soberity. I have been free of alcholo and drugs for about 24 years, but today is the day that really counts b ecuase I am only a drink away from a drunk and today is all I have. On days like this I am full of gratitude for the warmth of my home and good friends. I am a retired school teacher and love where I am at in my life. I own a horse and started riding at the age of 64, my first horse too. Ihave been riding for 4 years now. It is a dream come true for me. Well enough. Again thanks. As long as I stay grateful I have a good chance of staying sober today.
