Hi. Newbie here. My question is about normal muscle tone after weight loss for women past menopause.
I have lost 45 lbs in the last year, and still want to lose a couple more. However, since I am 58 and well-past menopause I look like a 12 year old now. No butt, no boobs, no waistline. My legs look like sticks--I am now 5'2" and 117.5, well within normal range. Is it just because I am not yet used to the new me--which is still heavier than what I weighed just 15 years ago? OR is there something wrong with me? I used to have 'woman' fat. Will it ever come back? From last September to April, I exercised about 45 minutes a day six days a week, alternating aerobics or walking with strength training with 5 lb. dumbells. Then I got too busy, but still kept up about 3 times a week. Now I am using one of those kickbutt cardio workouts from Jillian Michaels. I am building some muscle in my arms, but I look thinner than the gals in the video. The last question is related: When I run my hand along my thighs and my arms, it feels different, like there is some lumpiness where it should be smooth. Hard to describe. Should I see a doctor?
