After the initial shock of getting laid off and feeling sorry for me, I decided to get back into a little buisness I had 20 years ago.
I decided to get back into a buisness I started 20 years ago when my kids were little. I used to do kids birthday parties as a clown. It was fun and I get along with kids great. Im tired of "looking for work" so Im going to pull out all the stops and get back into this. I put an add into our local paper yesterday, and I happened to get a call for a party today. What Da HAY???? Downsized??
The more I surf this eons site the more interesting it gets. I've just posted in a few other categories and the more I look around, the more I find groups that I can relate to. I am still reeling over the fact that Im not going into work. I loved my job working for Birthdaydirect.com doing descriptiions and photos of their products. Now Im sitting here typing in cyberspace. Oh well when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Im an artsist and need to learn how to sell my artwork. Ive seen programs you can buy to help you learn how to sell stuff, but I always get a "scam alert" blinking in my head when I see those adds. Oh well, if you have any suggestions on networking or if you like my artwork, send me a note. Thanks. I sure dont want to be a "starving artist". I wont as soon as my unemployment starts kicking in.
