New art gallery
I have been working hard trying to get things organized and designed. I plan on turning the large main space in my garage into an art gallery. I will hopefully announce a grand opening for Easter 2009!
Art in heaven
At an art show you will sometimes find that artists love to tell where their art may be, you know-Michigan, North Carolina, ect. I found myself doing this with other artists.
I had raised my prices on several wood etchings. This priest that would often walk through and check out the work the artists had on display, stopped and said, "I would like to buy one of your light house etchings before you get too famous and I can't afford one".
About a year passed and I noticed the priest looking at my art again. I asked if he was enjoying the light house etching and he replied, "Oh that wasn't for me, that was for my boss". Well My mouth dropped open as I gazed toward the sky. Then I felt my husband poke me in the ribs and say, "I don't think he meant that high up". My face turned red as the priest winked and walked on. My husband lets me have my delusions of having a painting in heaven by saying,"Just be glad you didn't have to pay the freight".

Glad to find your group, I am a self-taught artist. Mostly acrylics but have tried most other mediums. Also love photography and growing lilies.
