Eons Advisors Topics
A reminder to all: Eons Advisors is primarily for "suggestions and feedback" as stated in the group description - see our About page. We accept bug reports (but not spam reports or any personal inter-member issues, which should be reported directly to the Help Team).
For help and advice, please start with the Help link at the bottom of the page. If you can't find the help you need, please feel free to ask here in Eons Advisors.
To be considerate to your group-mates, always create a title for your new message that summarizes the topic you want to discuss. (E.g. "Can't move sent PM to folder" instead of "Another issue"). And, please - if you're reporting a problem - read the last 10-20 messages in the group to ensure that you aren't duplicating a previous message. Thanks for your cooperation!

Profile Groups Page Reorganization
We're planning to make minor changes to the pages that list a person's group memberships. To keep things clear, we're proposing to have two pages: 1) A "My Groups" page that acts like a group-specific extension of the My Eons page; and 2) A Profile/Groups page that acts like an extension of the Profile.
Details are in the first reply.

Group Activity Tracking Beta Test
In Eons Advisors and Eons Group Managers and Moderators we are currently testing a new "group activity tracking" feature to replace the "Recent Group Activity" feature that was recently removed.
When there is new content (messages, members, etc.) in the group since you last viewed one of the group's pages, you'll see a message at the top of the page with a green background. It will list the same kind of information you would see on My Eons. The links lead to enhanced versions of the messages and members pages, which highlight the new content.
Currently, this feature is only being tested in the aforementioned groups, so My Eons does not link to the enhanced pages. When this is released, all the links on My Eons and My Groups will go to the enhanced pages.
We're interested in discovering how this feature feels to people and how it might be improved. Please reply to this message with your comments. Thanks!

Profile "Account Inactive" Background

This is NOT a message from Eons - it is a message from Photobucket. You are seeing this message because Photobucket has de-activated the account containing photo(s) that were being used by the profile's current skin.
If this happens to your profile, go to the Eons Skin Gallery and choose a new skin. For more on this topic, please consult The Studio: view link
"Recent Group Activity"
The "Recent Group Activity" section - previously seen near the top of group home pages - has been discontinued.
External Links
Here's a small but important policy change to be aware of: External links (links to other web sites) that have been posted on Eons (e.g. in a group post or blog), will now open in a new browser window - or a new tab, depending on your browser's settings.
External link text will be followed by a special icon - indicating that the link will open in a new window. Like this: view link

Featured Members
On the Eons homepage (a.k.a. the "explore" page), we currently show "Featured Members".
* What do you want or expect from the "Featured Member" feature? Do you like it?
* Was it an important factor in your decision to try Eons.com? I.e., when you first came to Eons, did this feature grab your attention?
* Should it function as a motivational tool (e.g. rewarding power-bloggers or group managers) - or should it be more random ...featuring a wider variety of members?
We've been talking about removing the feature because it is difficult to maintain (largely a manual process). We're not keen about making it an automated process (like the Top 25 Groups chart). However, if it's important to enough people, we'll try to find a way to maintain it.
