Folks, if you want to come see the Cherry Blossoms, I am going to coordinate a SKIT to do so. The plans, as of now, are to see the blossoms on Saturday, March 31st and use April 1 as a rain date. I am going to suggest lodging in the Baltimore area because lodging near DC should be expensive plus I live near Baltimore. And we should take public transportation down to the event because of the traffic. We can purchase Metro fare cards that are good for getting on and off all day. Gabe is going to coordinate a feast in the DC area for us after we view the trees. Anyone else in the area that would like to help with this, please contact me. And all suggestions for what else we can do are more than welcomed.

I suggest that if you are coming from out of the area, you arrive on Friday. I can probably offer up a spot for one person to stay at my house and if anyone has an inflatable mattress they want to bring, I could put up a second person. Rewtoo and his lovely lady will be "camping", in an RV park.

I am hoping for more participation from the DC, NOVA, and Baltimore area ECS. Let's make this a really fun event.

Valentines Day sucks...it's the day when men have to dutifully troop down to Wal Mart and waste money on a card, some candy and flowers for the sole purpose of pandering to the women friends of your wife, girlfriend or significant other...

Yesterday my sister asked me if I had a date for the 14th. I asked her why do you ask?
"I don't know," she said, " I don't like the idea of you being alone and not having anyone."

"I'm fine don't worry about me, really."

"Why don't you call one of your male friends and ask him out, women do that now you know?" she asks.

But you have to love those who love us and worry about us don't you?

Seahawk came to the dance last night and what a nice guy. And good looking too, if I may say so. I really wish more of you locals could come to the dance. Last night was a smaller than normal crowd because everyone seemed to be hiding in fear of the snow that didn't really happen. But it was still a great time.

I am in the process of getting a new phone and have been doing some research. I understand there are three out there; the I phone, the Android and Windows Mobile 7. I was watching Help Me Howard on HLN and he liked the Windows mobile by Nokia. Any ideas or suggestions?

So I was getting my taxes done this Sat... got to the end and found out the person doing them couldn't go any further because they weren't certified for the state of NY.

I can do them myself, but went to someone because I had 3 months of employment in NY in 2011 and 9 in PA (Can you believe it, 9 months + Jan and 13 days of Feb back here in PA?)

Anyway.. I'm a bit nervous because she says I'm getting back more than double of what I've gotten back in over 15 years. Seems strange.. so I paid for the guarantee that if anything is incorrect their company would pay for it not me. It was only like $35 for it, well worth it than to risk paying them back money that you might spend.

So I have to wait for her co-worker this week to come finish my 4 returns (2 states, 1 federal and one local)

This news shocked me, even though it didn't - if you know what I mean.
