Take My Hand
I was taking a leisurely stroll one night in the woods. As usual, I was admiring the beauty that was around me. The beautiful trees, birds singing, it was so peaceful. As I walked along I began to start floating. I was not flying I was floating. I had begun to rise up off the ground, slowly but surely. You would think by now that I would be frightened but oddly enough I was very calm. I felt a serenity incasing me. I rose up into the air. I could now see the trees, the forest beneath me. As I rose through the clouds, I noticed that they were as soft and fluffy as they looked. Above me in the distance was total darkness. Even at that I was not afraid, peacefulness and serenity still abound. Now I was in the darkness, deep, dark and black except for a glowing orange light off in the distance. It was at this time I became aware that my destination was going to be this light. Now I was closer and I could see that the light was actually a fire, flames, flames burning so intensely that I had to look away for a moment. As I turned back I noticed the fire had taken on the shape of a man. How could this be? Then I saw Him. My eyes were opened. They did not shun from the light anymore, and I now knew that it was Jesus surrounded by fire. There was a lump in my throat, and tears in my eyes, as He held out His hand to me. I in turn reached out to Him and upon reaching; He took my hand in His. When our hands touched. I awakened with a startle. Someone had touched my hand while I was sleeping and there were tears on my pillow.
This is a true story......Some people call it a dream.....but actually felt our hands touch.....So was it?

So Thankful
The beautiful 50-foot tall trees, swaying in the wind, giants teetering, on their wooden base, are so majestic standing there. The tall Poplars, which in the spring bare a beautiful flower, are among the many. A multitude of gorgeous Dogwoods, now turning red and showing their berries, and in the spring are the first to show their gorgeous blooms. There are wildflowers that grow where they may scattering about a profusion of delightful colors. The squirrels scurrying about, gathering the hickory nuts and acorns for winter provisions, chattering among themselves as they busily go about their work. Slowly but surely, a box turtle with his colorful mosaic shell lumbers towards the safety of his burrow. I have looked out my window and have seen a beautiful white tail deer, standing there sniffing the air for what could be danger. But she is not afraid of me. She looks at me inquisitively and continues eating the lush grass before her. There, lying nestled in a bed of leaves is a fawn, sleeping soundly waiting for its mother to return. I walk past the fawn, ever so lightly as to not scare it. I can hear the sound of the running creek, water for the dear and her fawn. She has placed her baby close to the life giving liquid. My ears pick up on the melodious songs of the birds, happily flying about. Interrupted by a shrill cry, I turn to see a red tailed hawk, flying stealth like against a sky of purest blue. Mushrooms, mosses, color the old stumps, laying there like a tribute to that which was. As I walk around my land, a little piece of God’s green earth, I am thankful for the beauty that is mine to behold.
The Prize
I stand here waiting
wondering what has
befallen the others
in this line
It is cold
on this sidewalk
the wind is passing
crisply through the holes
Snow is beginning
to softly fall
I can not appreciate
the beauty of it
It will make
the night so long
Will the steam
be rising from the grate
I am almost there
the warmth of the bowl
in my hands
will help them
to feel again
in my stomach it will
take away the pain
What a precious child
with the lovely woman
She has tears
in her eyes
Oh well, he thinks
as he gives her
his place in line
I've waited this long
as he slumps
to the ground
closing his eyes
He sees his prize
It was I He said
that you gave
your place in line

Open Mouth insert Foot
Open mouth insert foot
it is easier to get it in
then to get it out..
words out of the mouth
like a spout
just had no idea
what I was talking about
so sorry my friend
if my words hurt you
is there any thing else
that I can do
today is a new day
and I promise you
I'll sensor the words
that I say
and make sure
they are true
it is easier to get it in
then to get it out..

Three things
Sila.....that is a good idea....but I find it hard to say that about myself....I could probably come up with what I think might be some of my best qualities....but that would not answer that question I feel....I think that only other people could say if I had been an inspiration or not....
The Smile
a smile is worth
a thousand words
an unmistakable
twinkle in the eye
but what if
we could see the heart
what would it impart
there are always
two sides to the story
and they are
not always the same
the eyes could twinkle
when the hearts in pain
the heart is meant to share
but is sometimes
left bare
open and wounded
in need of care
a word or a touch
so lightly a kiss
is all it would take
to make all things amiss
come into harmony
the heart and the eye

Seasons
Approaching is one of
my favorite times
the beautiful season of fall
the gorgeous colors
of orange and red
reminds me of the cleansing fire
extinguishing the pollutants
as winter reminds me of death
but only in part
I know that under
the dark cold earth
that there are unseen things happening
a pregnancy of sorts
death I do not fear
fore in the spring
Mother Earth will give birth
once again
everything that appears dead
will SPRING to life
flowers will appear
birds will sing
and will bring
on the warmth of the sun
and everything will begin
all over again
over and over and over
this circle of life
continuous and never ending

Heaven
The breeze is caressing my face
it is softly ...
The breeze is caressing my face
it is softly blowing my hair
wistfully going where ever it may
the wind is cool on my skin
the water is smooth like glass
only gently rocking my vessel
for the sun is going down
and darkness is falling
and yet I look behind me
and as the sun is sinking
the beautiful color
is dancing its reflection
it appears like jewels
making a path across the water
and alas rising above the trees
is a huge brilliant sphere
lighting the night
as the sun goes to rest
complete silence
except for the soft music
of the water lapping
this is beauty
this is peace
this is heaven
Sailing
Oh blessed Father
be with me today
as I travel along the way
for I will be sailing
on Your sea
I hope you are looking out for me
Blow my sails
with your breath
calm the waves
and keep their depth
safe for me to travel through
your wondrous water
oh so blue
let Your eyes
be my guide
as I move
upon the tides
I seek Your presence
as I sail
and with You as my navigation
I can not fail
I see your creations
all around
many beautiful birds
do abound...
the playful dolphin
are on my port
their following me
they are my escort
to safely take me
back to shore
Thank you Lord
for opening this door
be with me today
as I travel along the way
for I will be sailing
on Your sea
I hope you are looking out for me

Women
Women are not programmed to be subservient if they are subservient it is because they choose to at the particular moment......God said he made woman as a helpmate to man....and that is in His infinite wisdom.....He knew that they (man) would need it....So He made the woman .....so that if an when the man would finally ask for help.....the woman would be there with the answers.....
