DOGPILE donates to ASPCA when you use them
People may already know this, but just in case,
The search engine DOGPILE (like GOOGLE but better and more comprehensive in my opinion) donates to the ASPCA every time you do a search using their engine. Just go to dogpile and complete your search thru them. Than make it your preferred search!
I have been using dogpile for years but love this new strategy! They have already donated about $169,000.00 as of this minute, and I think it has been less than two weeks.

question about pet sitting
I am thinking of pet sitting, on a very part time basis, as a second income. I'd do only weekends and 3 day weekends, maybe an occasional week, all in the owner's home.
Does anyone else do this? Or know if it is necessary to be bonded/insured, etc? I would hope do the pet sitting with a referral from my vet's office. They know me and that I have had pets, loved them and cared for them very well, for my whole adult life.
I don't really want this to be a big deal "business" as I am looking at very, very part time.......

itchy dry skin
hi everybody: The area where they shaved Bogart for his surgery in Oct is still only about half grown back in, and as of this week, is very flakey and dry. I think it itches him; he seems edgy and does try to reach it to nibble (he can't reach it) .I know I can ask the vet but does anyone here know if I can put people cream on him, like Jergens lotion or something???? He had oatmeal bath which helped for 3 days only THANKS
petlovraz?
You doing ok? Been thinking about you......

Thanks pomeroos for posting my other Bogie picture to the mix! He is proud to stand among the others.
hello all from Bogart and me
I have not visited in a bit, been busy with my own helath and stress issues as well as Bogart's health, but he still looks and acts great, he is almost 3 months post radiation now. Every day is a gift, Best to everyone.......
bogart thanks you all
Bog is doing better today, and is off to the vet in a few minutes for a check.
We both thank you all, more than we can say, for your support.

happy day
Just want to quickly share my thanks, so thankful that my best friend Bogie dog is home with me this Thanksgiving, having so far done OK with his cancer treatment.........
I wish I could give him the whole turkey!!!!!!!!!!!
But of course I do not want to upset his stomach.
He shall have as much as is safe for him
Thanks for my Bogart

another stinky dog question
Hi: I also have a stinky dog, (stink is due to skin condition). I can't bathe him right now because of his radiation Tx. but the effect of the bathing usually lasts a few days at best, anyway.
OK The question: Would a rubber sheet or something else ?????placed on top of the bed prevent the smell from seeping through all the blankets/sheets?
currently, I am washing all sheets and blankets every other day, because the smell is quite unpleasant, and this is getting old very fast!!!! Plus wearing out my machines and my linens....

Bogart update
Hi all Bogie is home from Red Bank Vet Hosp, or should I say, vacation and spa spot-of-the-year.
After his initial confusion, he had a fantastic time, made many new friends, and was apparently the darling of his ward. He was given special dispensation to be out of crate and to accompany nurses around the room basically all day, etc. He had a goodbye party.
The radiation went well, there is 80% chance of "cure", he'll be monitored at home by regular vet. I am beginning daily doses of antioxidants with him. And I hope.
