Group Description & Guidelines

Done for Eagleye! Pete

Description

Group Description Update.....When I started this group roughly 6 years ago, I did so because of my passion for photography. I have been very involved since my first B&W darkroom to processing my own transpariencies and working in color photo labs just to be in control of my photographic creativity from 'Click to Pic'. It has earned me a comfortable income at times and is a great creative release.

Guidelines

'Enjoying' is the #1 factor of the group, but learning and becoming better with every click of the shutter is very important. Like an athlete striving for a Gold Medal, we should always better our best shot.If you want critique from other members and moderators please include PC for Please Critique when you post your images. Put yourself in uncomfortable situations to get that special shot, the risk is worth the results. Please post only your own work, or if using others work do so with WRITTEN permission. Push yourself harder to reach the higher goal, and yes..........Enjoy Digital photography.

A Chiricahua Experience

Stone Sculpted By Nature

Entering the Chiricahua National Monument in southeast Arizona, is like driving up a sky island; rock pinnacles loom over the road like guardians of the forest. The Chiricahua Apache called these pinnacles “standing up rocks;” originating from volcanic eruptions 27 million years ago. Erosion, water, wind and such have fractured the landsape, creating an endless variety of spires, balanced rocks and other images on which imagination can feast.

Additional photos of this place where stone is sculpted by nature will be posted in subsequent replies. If you have Chiricahua photos, feel free to post them in the reply thread.

Editing Fun

One of the joys of digital photography for me is editing; especially removing clutter in an image and presenting it in an imaginative way.
