Cabbage Roll Lasagna?

What are you going to do? Started out the day with the intention of making Cabbage Rolls. Off to the market to get the cabbage but they were all pretty small. Ever the optimist I bought two. Get em home and began to peel the leaves off, wrong! Too small and too crunchy! Yikes, off to plan B, cabbage roll Lasagna!

Mixed the filling up as usual and just started layering, what the heck eh! Cabbage, meat filling, sauce, cabbage, neat filling, sauce, cabbage.

This ought to be interesting. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

Canned VS Frozen!

Here's a topic that probably deserves it's own post!

Canned VS Frozen Vegetables

I suspect this will generate as much controversy as the gas VS charcoal bbq discussions :^) Personally I can't stand frozen vegetables, especially peas, it's like eating a handful of bb's! Now give me a can of Petites Pois and I'm all set!

Anyone else have an opinion?

Major Cook Out Day

Today is shaping up to be a beauty here in the Northeast :^) It's also a major national cookout day! So whats everybody burning today?

T-Bones, potato salad, corn on the cob here, and all the fixings. Pretty standard fair but I save all the good stuff for those boring everyday meals :^)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Boatload of Tomatoes

Sitting here contemplating what to do with a bunch of fresh, ripe tomatoes from the garden. I've got some pasta and a Kielbasa. Have some green onions, onions, green peppers and Jalapeños, garlic.

Think I'll whip up a two hour sauce of some kind. Any ideas :^)
