Protests
You might have heard on the news that an illegal alian here in Ca. was deported back to Mexicl and had to leave her American born child here. NOw the Mexican activisits are going to have a rally protesting her deportation. In LA and then to the capital. Then I think about the three college students executed in Newark, NJ. by an illegal alian. Maybe we should go out and have a protest march everytime an American citizen is killed by an illegal alian. I am sick of the Mexicans illegals protesting everytime someone is arrested, etc. They broke the law and they need to face the consequences.

Think the Dems Will Win in 2008?
Maybe better think again. In a Gallup Poll released yesterday the Democratic controlled Congress' approval rating was 18%. That's the lowest, according to Gallup, Congress has ever polled.
What's more telling is the disapproval rating stood at 76% - and was distributed evenly among Democrats, Independents and Republicans.
This does not bode well for Democrats in the 2008 elections.
Why? I keep mentioning the mood of the public is for "change". The public does not see the new Democratic Congress as representing this change, just business as usual under Dems versus the GOP.
I not only believe the Dems are at risk of snatching defeat at the hands of victory in 2008, I believe the Senate and House will be up for grabs.

Three Classes in the USA
There are three classes in the USA. The first class is the investor class. These are the people who just care about how the stock and bond market is doing. If the markets are doing good they are happy. The second class is the political class, all they care about is getting elected and relected. They live a lifestyle of the rich without actually earning it. They never had to meet a payroll or worry about their investments tanking. The third class is the working class, they get up and go to work, they make this country work. They pay the taxes and do the heavy lifting that made this country great. The problem with this country as I see it, the political and the investor class are out of touch with the working class.
Media Mis-information Hype
This was posted a short while ago by a leading Private Meterologist regarding the media hype surrounding Hurricane Dean:
ERNESTO VS DEAN.
Do you know that the maximum wind gust at Cancun (54 mph) has not reached the maximum SUSTAINED wind at Avalon, N.J., during Erensto (55 mph) with gusts there to 82. Dean on the northeast coast of Mexico where all the camera crews are making a big deal is not as bad there as Ernesto was for the mid-Atlantic. Farther south though, obviously the comparison ends, but leave it to the media to overwhip this in the major resort.
And what is going on with this:
"At the southern tip of Texas, officials urged residents to evacuate ahead of the storm. 'Our mission is very simple. It's to get people out of the kill zone, to get people out of the danger area, which is the coastline of Texas,' said Johnny Cavazos, Cameron County's chief emergency director.
Officials in the resort town of South Padre Island distributed sandbags after a state of emergency was declared."
Evacuate south Padre Island? For what? A couple of inches of rain and a wind gust to 25?
Unreal.

Passing The Buck
I borrowed this from someone whom said to pass it on. It's kinda funny but has a point:
Urine and Taxes
Like a lot of people, I have a job.
I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, which I have no problem with.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass.
Can you imagine how much money this country would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
Pass it on if you agree.

About Healthcare
Nuge just got finished with some surgery, angioplasty and a stent in an artery. I received excellent medical care and everything went perfect.
I also have health insurance which paid for the entire procedure of $5,300 except for $85.
Now why would I want to give up my private health insurance for an untested, mediocre system of nationalized healthcare.
My wife's medical bills run about $150,000 a year of which we pay about $1,200.
When anyone can show me how we would be better off under a different system, I'll listen.
Till then, I thank God and America for the best healtcare system in the world and that we are lucky enough to be part of it.

GOP Chairman Scolds Candidates Over Illegal Immigration
2:57 am, 17 Aug 2007 Print this story
The Republican Party’s national chairman scolded a pair of GOP presidential contenders over their tough stances on illegal immigration.
Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida, President Bush's handpicked choice for party chairman, criticized former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani for opposing a Senate immigration bill Martinez helped to write.
"It's about leading on the tough issues,” Martinez told the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, in remarks first published by the St. Petersburg Times. "It was easy to say, 'This wasn't good enough, this isn't right, I don't agree with Martinez.' ... But at the end of the day, what is your answer? How would you solve this?”
Both Romney and Giuliani have taken tough stances on illegal immigration, with Giuliani saying that, as president, he could solve the problem once and for all with harsher enforcement of immigration laws and better border security.
Romney, by comparison, has made granting illegal immigrants amnesty a cornerstone of his campaign.
Also, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, himself considering a run for the GOP nomination, chimed in Wednesday by calling for an emergency session of Congress to solve the problem of illegal immigration. Gingrich’s angry comments followed the death of three college students in Newark, New Jersey by a gang of men, some of whom are suspected of being in the country illegally.
Gingrich said the outrage over the federal government's failure to address that situation is tied to outrage over a broken government all around, and said voters "have a sense that their government at all levels is failing them so deeply that the most basic level of civilization is at risk, which is your physical safety.”
