A Woman's Heart - God's Dwelling Place # 4

We are trying to get started studying this again. Renae will post. Please forgive me for not being here for a while. I have had a lot going on. I am retired now but I have been busy taking care of paperwork and trips to the Social Security office.
I will try my best to be more faithful.

To all my on line Christian friends!

TO: God.Com
Dear Lord,

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.Com

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!

INTERCESSION

The devotion for today from Our Daily Bread comes from Colossians chapter 4. The question posed by the devotion is "Are we willing to labor fervently in prayer to ask God to meet the needs of our loved ones?"

As I sat on my porch reading, this poem came to my heart. Please excuse any gramer errors. English was never my strong subject.

"Intercession"

As I sit and hear the thunder and
Listen to the gentle falling rain,
I concentrate on praying for friends
Who are in pain.

The Bible tells us to come boldly
Before the throne of grace,
Interceeding for our loved ones
That God's will they may embrace.

I know my Lord is listening,
I can feel His presents near.
As I pray for friends and family,
All the loved ones I hold dear.

So if you have a problem,
Wether it is great or small,
Take it to my Jesus,
For I know He hears them all.

Society and the Law of God

I thought you might be interested in a series I am beginning in the Examiner. I'm going to be looking at the implications of the Ten Commandments for a nation that claims to be Christian. I plan to follow it up (much later) with a series on the Lord's Prayer.

Here is the first article: view link

Christian Publishers

Suppose you want to publish something you have written, this publishing company claims to espouse and utilize Christian principles in its publishing endeavors. Having never used them I can't guarantee it but it sounded worth investigating.

Hope this may be helpful - I plan to cross-post on the Writer-write group as well.

Jude 1:2 & Job 23:10

♥ Jude 1:2 ... May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. ♥ Job 23:10 ... He knows the way that I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous]. Had a few moments, so thought to say hello ... trusting all is well with you. Blessings to you, Pastor Betty

The Message Translation reads:

Jude 1:2 ... "Relax, everything's going to be all right; rest, everything's coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!" Whoooo! Yes, and amen to that! T.U. Jesus!
