What a month!
It's been a rough year so far -- with the economy continuing to fall, more foreclosures on the horizon and layoffs still coming fast and furious. My apologies -- I've not been as active over the past few months...my 9 year old broke her leg quite badly and I've been very busy helping her rehabilitate. She's doing great, I'm back, and looking to hear from you on what has been going on with your lives, job searches, financial fiascos and recoveries!!
This month I turned 50 -- after many years of blogging about 50 plussers, I'm am now one of US! But what a month. Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, Karl Maldon -- icons from MY adolescence.
How are you doing?

Obama is our President. Can he help our economy?
Many of you shared your views on what you felt Obama SHOULD do once he got into office. Well, he's our new president and he is now doing! What do you think of his performance in these first days in office?
I'm interested in your opinions. At my blog (www.genplususa.com), you'll see postings on the Microsoft layoffs, and this new concept of the "Bad Bank". Do you know anyone laid off at Microsoft?
Do you feel that Obama can turn the economic tide? And how is this all affecting you and your families?

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
What are your resolutions for 2009? The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Holiday Spending
Well, the holidays are almost here. And I'm curious. With the economy in the tank, how much are you planning on spending for gifts this holiday. Doesn't matter whether you celebrate Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanza or the Winter Solstice. A very unscientific approach, but I'd like to hear from this group how the economy has affected you.
A new President
So what do you think about our new President-Elect? What is the number one thing you believe he needs to address first upon taking over the reins of this country?
Finance in America
What are your thoughts and reactions about the financial crisis that our country is in? How is (or will) this affect you personally?
