10 Little home office cost saving tips
1. Cut back on cost of printing ink. Once a week take all your copy work to copier business that offers low prices.
2. Make your own note paper for free. Save that scrape paper. Size it up and pile it up and staple the top.
3. Look for stamps laying around the office. If you have postal stamps laying around the office that are here and there for certain reasons gather them up and use them before buying a new book of stamps. (I did that last week and saved over 20 dollars)
4. Try faxing your billing or marketing material instead of mailing them to save on postal costs. Try emailing your long distance business contact to cut back on long distance phone calls.
5. Make sure you are not paying high end cost of internet service. Check around to see if you can get online cheaper. Some services are offering bundle packaging cost for online, cell phone and etc.
6. ADD IT UP! Save all your business receipts. Not only are they a write off at tax time but a way for you to really see how much you are spending.
7. Buy your business cards from companies that will print them for you free. Some will if you allow them to keep their ad on the back of the business cards.
8. Network & share the cost with other business owners to save on cost of printed items, office supplies, fax paper and so on to buy in bulk.
9. Keep all your pens & office tidbits in a handy container near your phone. This way you know where they are and won’t have to re buy when you can find.
10. The dreaded gas bills: Some companies are making all their deliveries making left hand turns.
Think about it. Studies show that making left hand turns from start to finish save this company millions of dollars a year in fuel cost.
If possible mark your business trips in one day and in one area.
