the Reading Life and Literary Choices
I'v not had much access to the computer and eyes are weary from reading all day at work. I'm now going to put up some of those books i'v been previewing and reading about. My summer read went kind of slow... I got some new magazine subscriptions and the usual list is Oprah.,... Essence.... Southern Living and Shape magazine... that's been keeping my in touch and this summer as it was I spent a lot of time in bible study... so much love and happy Thanksgiving i will be in the land of plently for this Christmas holiday anyway!

IS TV PULLING US AWAY FROM READING
My TV is broke. I refuse to buy one for right now because I am disappointed in the programming and who would have ever thought we had to pay to watch TV. Anyway ... the computer can be just as time consumming so I guess I have chosen my poison.
I am presently reading a book a week, as well as other publications and now I am starting to write again. What a joy to submit book review comments on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and other similar venues.
May our voices also continue to be heard after we have gathered and read good literature and articles.

JuneNew School Mystery "In the Heat of the Night"
In the Heat of the Night author Blair Underwood does a up righteous job helping our understanding of 'Tennyson Hardwick'
The brother is in a healing stage and learns life lessons do come back to haunt you. Tenn Hardwick makes a decision to stand up to authority and declare his independence. This is a smooth patch compared to contemporary living in his city.
The college at SC lays the groudwork for disaster that shapes the lives of many and then inserts itself within generations.
The murder is not evident and then a confession confirms love and hate do exist together.

June Mystery Murder Classic "Black Betty
author Walter Mosley does wonders with this book... for example...
Black Betty's attutides as opinions stand out as her habits forming a particular personality...
Time {the use of} Easy Rawlings remembers Black Betty from when he was a child. What he remembers most is a trait associated with her adult life.
Easy Rawlings is called on to do detective work, we find out it is very dangerous.
Family interactions create a forest of sorrow for these characters to deal with and live by.

I could not believe this book
I started to read a book a romance book set in Jamaica. Well the only thing that may have resembled Jamaica in the book was the scenery. How hard is it to figure out how to describe a tropical setting.......Everything else indicated that the author had NEVER set foot in Jamaica!....When I find the book again, among my many I will keep it to mention the name of the book. I will not mention the author..If she is a writer on EONS I suggest she research the island more before writing another book on Jamaica.
Now my sister Margaret Cezair-Thompson wrote "the Pirate's Daughter" which is an excellent story....Then again we are Jamaicans.
