As You Wait on the Lord

ISAIAH 40:31 NKJ says But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Time is precious. Our lives are full. Life is busy. Many of us think we are too busy to spend time in regular daily prayer. But is that a wise choice? In the Scripture passage above, the literal meaning is "those who look to the Lord expectantly will exchange strength." Prayer is an exchange of strength.

God offers to exchange what He has for what we have. As we spend time looking to Him, this exchange takes place. What strength does God have? Wisdom. Understanding. Insight. Guidance. Favor. Influence. Health. Everything we need! When you give your time to God, He reciprocates by giving His time to you. He goes ahead of you and makes your way smooth, giving you favor and guidance so you can walk in victory.

God will give you ideas as you wait on Him. Ideas of how to do things better. You may think you don't have anything God would want. But God wants your love and your trust. As a human, you also have God-delegated authority on Earth, especially as a member of the Body of Christ.

Exchanging the little strength you have for the strengths of God is a great trade! Don't miss this wonderful benefit! Invest time looking to the Lord expectantly in prayer today and every day..

What's Love got to do With It? Everything!!

If there is one thing believers in Jesus should be known for, it is love. The word love appears in Scripture more than 500 times. The essence of the gospel is love, as we see in John 3:16. "For God so loved the world . . ." The epistle of 1 John 3:16 elaborates: "By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us."

Christians are to serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13), love their neighbors as themselves (Galatians 5:14), live a life of love (Ephesians 5:2), and love with actions and in truth (1 John 3:18).

So, if Jesus and His followers are all about love, why do some people love to hate us? Why are there, according to one estimate, 200 million persecuted believers in the world today?

Jesus told us why. He said to His disciples, "Everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed" (John 3:20). Jesus is the Light. When He walked this earth, people hated Him because He exposed the darkness of their sin. We are now His light in this world (Matthew 5:14); therefore, the world will also hate us (John 15:19).

Our task is to be channels of God's love and light, even if we are hated in return. — Love in return for love is natural, but love in return for hate? Now that's supernatural.

"Ways to make your New Year a Good Year"

1.Cast all your Cares on God, for He cares for you (1 Peter5:7)

2.In all things, Wait on the Lord and be of good courage (Psalms 27:1)

3.Set your affections on things above and not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2)

4.Remember God's promise to supply all your needs, according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)

5.Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus christ concerning 1Thessalonians 5:16-18

6.Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

Finally:
Hide the Word of God in your heart and make it a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.

Prayers -Always Answered

When we pray to God and ask for something, often we are asking him to answer it a specific way within a specific time frame. And that is an easy way to become frustrated with God. You can feel like he’s not paying attention and not listening to you. But really we’re the ones not paying attention.

Just because God doesn’t answer a prayer the way we want, when we want him to, doesn’t mean that he didn’t answer the prayer. He always answers. Sometimes we don’t see it because we are busy looking for something different. When we are thirsty, we might be looking for a glass of water, but miss that God has given us the rain. Sometimes answers to prayer come in ways we wouldn’t have imagined. Watch for God to answer prayers in unexpected ways, and try to notice when He does.

Isaiah 65:24 says I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs,
I will go ahead and answer their prayers!
