Light and Joy
You are the light of the world.
The light is in you.
Darkness can cover it,
but cannot put it out.
Why wait for Heaven>
Those who seek the light
are merely covering their eyes.
The light is in them now.
Enlightenment is but a recognition,
not a change at all.
There is no difference between love and joy.
Joy has no cost. It is your sacred right.
You can exchange all suffering for joy this very day.
Practice in earnest and the gift is yours.

Spiritual growth
One said that there are many facets to Spiritual growth. With regards to me I am what you call a Christian Spiritualist. I left the body and earth long ago after I received my Godly revelation and became born again. I live by the Spirit only. Hoever once in a while the flesh(mind) creeps in. I am still working on "fear".How do you perceive Spiritual growth? Where are you stationed?
Hay-Ku of the Day (The Mind's Eye 2)

“Single-Eye” implies
A Non-Linear State of
Conscious Awareness.
Only “Single-Eyed
Seeing” allows One to See
The Oneness of All.
[Rich Note: (Photo Caption) Mind’s Eye 2 (2007); A reprise of an Aug 07 image of wife (up to 43 years now) Sandy’s "as beautiful as ever" left eye that fits the theme of today’s offering; Companion haiku: Only “Single-Eyed Seeing” allows One to Know the Absolute Truth.]

....a continuence from Question? For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing( bread on the table and shoes on our feet - The Message), we will be content with that. 1Timothy 6:6-8
Not in a million years would I suggest - only bread and shoes - literlary. Yet how many of us - HONEST TO GOD - be 100% content with that.

Spiritual Adulthood and Capitalism
I'm carrying this topic forward from another thread so it can be discussed here on it's own. Below are the pertinent comments.
~~~~~~~~~~~
WW: "...greed runs rampant in this country! It is due, simply, to uncontrolled Capitalism. Those with the controls, have absolutely no concern for the masses, and their conditions, and every concern for maximising their bottom lines! Then they scream bloody murder, whenever someone even suggests there be some kind of controls set to their greed.
NO, there is nothing wrong with one bettering themselves. But there is something wrong with one doing so, at the expense of, and even the destruction of, another!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
peacewithin: "What do we do as spiritual (adults) when we find ourselves in a country which is based on what is totally unrelated to spiritual values, i.e., capitalism, which has only one objective, with no limits, "profit"? That is it! All of it!
The recent cries against "socialism" in reference to healthcare reform raise the issues of ethics, morality, and spirituality. I understand about the philosophy of keeping government out of social issues, but what happens when the basis of our country acts contrary to the good of its citizens? Who is accountable?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
WW: "...this quote from Ghandi, makes quite clear!
"There are seven sins in the world: Wealth without work, 'Pleasure without conscience', Knowledge without character, 'Commerce without morality', Science without humanity, Worship without sacrifice and 'politics without principle'.". And if 'conscience', 'morality', and 'principle', aren't in the realm of this forum, then nothing is!"
I know this topic can have a variety of views. This is your opportunity to express your views, and the reason for those views, within the context of being a spiritual adult above all things. Thank you for participating.
Life is so Precious
Life is so precious,
And each day is a gift.
So enjoy every minute,
As it were your last to live.
Cherish your loved ones,
Hug them tight,
Share with them
your heart
And your time.
Nothing is forever.
And life goes so fast.
Each minute that passes,
Is one you can't get back.
When troubles arrive,
And knock you off your feet,
Stand up and smile,
And remember Life
is too sweet.
Every morning when you wake,
Decide right from the start,
That "Today will be a good day"
And let it all in
with an open heart.
Never allow anyone to rain
on your parade and thus cast
a pall of gloom and defeat on
the entire day.
No talent,no self-denial
no brains, no character are
required to set up in the
fault-finding business.
Nothing external can have
any power over you unless
you permit it. Your time
is too precious to be
sacrificed in wasted days
combating the menial forces
of hate,jealousy,and envy.
Guard your fragile life carefully.
Only God can shape a flower, but
any foolish person can pull it to pieces.
Just me.....
Well I'm sorry I havent posted in awhile. I just want to run and hide.
My husbands health is scaring me to death. He now has quit smoking and now has to lose weight to get on the transplant list. Im just beside myself. Our chances of ever traveling now are like almost zero. Infact he doesnt look well at all. Im still very scared and very afraid.
My kids were here for Thanksgiving and I cried the whole time.
I have to watch what I eat. That is even harder.
I have a new job at a Federal park and I love it.
I'm sorry I can be so amazing right now. I am fighting to just stay above water.
thank you all for your notes. I love them. Hugs
