Affirmations for the Day

Spiritual

Today I am open to any opportunity I have to pass peace on to others.
It is wonderful to know that wherever I am, the opportunity to make
a difference is always there. Whether it is giving a smile to someone, praying for a sick friend, meditating for world peace, or making a donation to a local charity, I am always in a position to encourage peace. By extendingpeace, I feel peace. By feeling peace, I extend peace. I can always make a difference in how I feel by breathing in peace. It feels so good to know that peace is as close as my next breath.

I have all the willingness I need to let go of my judgments.
I can feel my heart filling with peace and love as I practice acceptance.
We begin by making friends with ourselves, accepting ourselves completely, with all our strengths and weaknesses. Then we can expand that acceptance
to all those we love and then to all beings. Everyone. Everywhere. Regardless
of race, color, sexual preference, nationality, or intelligence. This is how we find peace in our hearts. This is our gift for ourselves. This is our gift to world peace.

It feels so good to know that I have an inner sanctuary where I can always go and find peace.
Somewhere deep inside of us, there is a place that is quiet no matter what is going on. We can’t always reach this place, but it is there. In painful times or fearful times, it helps to know it is there and we can try to reach it. Sitting quietly, being with our breath, we can stop the chattering of our mind and find this place, even if it is only for a moment.

I am clearing out old confusion and doubt so that I can see the miracles today and participate in the recovery of the universe.
As you dare to see that you have been ruled by old programming, know that new truths and positive, healthy thoughts are taking its place! Know that you are in the process of moving forward, and while doing so you are helping others in this universe to move forward too. Miracles begin to happen when we sit still and begin to look within. Let those miracles be there or you today!

Today I am taking an honest look at how long I hold on to my upsets.
I pray for the willingness to let go more quickly so I can have more peace and happiness in my life.
We claim we want to feel peaceful, but we often hold on to our anger. We pray to have peace in our hearts, but our resentments can keep us up at night. We struggle for balance and happiness, and yetso many times we don’t accept life on life’s terms. Why not try a happiness and peace experiment today? Take a piece of paper and pencil with you. Stop and notice when you get upset or angry.
Jot down the source. No judgments! Look at your paper at the end of the day. Talk or write about your feelings. Ask yourself how important your negative or unpleasant feelingsreally are. As your willingness to let go increases, you’ll find your peace and happiness increase also.

Today I am filled with enthusiasm and excitement as I spread the energy of peace out into the world!
Let’s make this a very special day for world peace. Imagine the world as a very safe place where people can be free to be who they are. Let this enthusiasm pour through you so you can really feel it through your entire body. Now carry these feelings into your goal of world peace. Feel the excitement, the possibilities, the wonder of what this would mean. The end of suffering. The end of wars. Just thinking about this is spreading powerful, peaceful, exciting energy out into the world!

It feels so good to know that I am connected spiritually today.
This creates love and peace and compassion and joy in my life.
I have found I can never get enough inspiration. It’s very helpful to read something spiritual or inspirational in the morning before praying and meditating. It helps to open our hearts and raise our awareness, and it keeps our thinking at a higher level of consciousness. The more positive our day’s beginning, the more positive our thinking and the happier and more peaceful we are throughout the day

Today I release my control of outcomes and experience peace as I accept life on life’s terms.
Life is not always fair. People, places, and things do not always turn out the way we want them to or the way we think they “should.” Sometimes we have to accept the truth, even when it is not to our liking. Sometimes we have to just give up, let go, or give in to our powerlessness in order to find peace within ourselves. Sometimes that is the only way peace is possible.

Endeavor to Inspire

We make good use of our ability to capture others' attentions when we endeavor to inspire those with whom we share our environment to be the best they can be in all circumstances.
The temptation to push the people around us to abide by our values and preferences can be strong, but doing this denies them the opportunity to express the fullness of their potential in an individual way.
The paths that appeal to us will not necessarily be those that provide others with the chance to fulfill their goals or to express themselves completely. We give our peers the gift of autonomy when we use our ability to inspire them to do what brings them the most potent sense of satisfaction. You will prompt others to find themselves today when you encourage them to follow the direction of their hearts and souls.

Feeling Our Worth

We can do so much to help others learn to believe in their own talents and skills by giving them a chance to prove themselves in a public forum. Many people do not know what they are capable of because they have never come across an opportunity to test their aptitudes. When we let the people around us know that we trust in their abilities and want very much to see them prosper, they will be more apt to feel comfortable expressing themselves openly in our presence.

We are then in a position to make suggestions as to how best they can make use of the blessings and learned proficiencies available to them. What they do with their capabilities will often be less important than their willingness to make use of them. You will feel the weight of your own worth today when you do all you can to help others find their own.

Inclusive System of Belief

Earth Prayer Wheel

We can devote more time to our own spiritual endeavors when we recognize and accept that it is not our place to win over those who believe differently. However much we feel compelled to encourage loved ones or colleagues to adopt our ideals, principles, and beliefs, we should remember that what has added value to our lives will not necessarily benefit others in a similar way. Furthermore, it is likely that our individual philosophies will oblige us to be accepting of the choices the people around us make, even when we would not have made the same decisions.
When we are tolerant of the spiritual needs of others, we do so much to ensure that they will be similarly broadminded when confronted with our own. Your inclusive system of belief will help you interact peacefully with people today by helping you to accept the differences that exist between you with aplomb.

Be gentle to Yourself

Along my spiritual journey in the early stages expectations were high and I was too critical on myself when I did not achieve full expectations, or fell short.
Then I learned from a kind soul it could be different.
Being gentle with ourselves when pursuing our goals can help us feel optimistic and relaxed about the challenges we face. We often get so attached to our ideas of how our goals should manifest that we become rigid and demanding of ourselves. Instead of demanding perfection from ourselves, we may be better served by relaxing and supporting our efforts. Because positive reinforcement is usually more effective than punishment, we can benefit greatly from treating ourselves with kindness and gentleness as we pursue our dreams. We then feel more inspired, optimistic, and hopeful about our plans, and we won’t feel so frustrated by delays and challenges.
Choosing to go easy on yourself today can create a positive state of mind that will enhance your efforts to achieve your goals.

What it is feeling Plentiful

Once all of our personal needs are met, we may not get to feel what it is to be
plentiful until we can share it with others. When we can see how much our resources can do and how far they can reach beyond our own lives, we are likely to have a sense of fulfillment and pride. It may come from being able to help our parents, experiencing the sense of satisfaction from being able to give back to those who gave so much to us. Or from donating to a charity that can offer needed assistance to many. However we choose to share our resources today, whether it is in time, talent or material abundance, we are sure to be paid generously in feelings of prosperity.

Once people reach a level of security in their life, more money doesn’t necessarily bring more happiness. What does bring a greater sense of joy and fulfillment is sharing what we have with others. When we use our resources to help others, to do good and bring more light into the world, we feel that we have accomplished something wonderful with our time and energy as well as with our material resources. All of these are representations of our energy in different forms. The more we share of who we are and what we have, the more alive we feel. Today by sharing your resources, you can feel abundantly prosperous in all areas of your life.

True Feelings

Being true to your feelings allows you to be sincere in your communication with others, which reaches them on a deeper level. People are drawn to sincerity and truth and will have more respect for you than for those who merely portray what they think people want from them. Even though an attractive appearance may draw their attention at first,
upon closer inspection they will find it hollow or slightly askew without sincerity behind it.
Being honest about your feelings will draw honest people to you, allowing you to have real communication and build real and lasting relationships. Embrace your feelings of shyness and understatement today with quiet confidence and allow it to attract only the best into your life.

What gives life, "Life"

Spirituality is good for your health - but how?

The word “spirituality” comes from the Latin “spirare,” meaning “to breathe.” So, from that perspective, spirituality has to do with what gives life “life.”

While there have been many attempts to define spirituality over the centuries, I would pose the following working definition: Spirituality is an integral dimension of every human life. It is that ultimate sense of meaning and purpose in one’s life. Spirituality requires a relationship with the sacred, with self, with others and with creation. Spirituality is the source of our hope and enables us to act with compassion, love and understanding. It is intensely personal and should not be confused with religion - although religion may be one way that some people choose to express their spirituality.

There has been increased interest in research being done to study the impacts of spiritual beliefs and practice on one’s overall health. Many of these studies claim significant evidence that spiritual practice does, in fact, contribute positively to one’s physical, mental and emotional health. But why? There are several possible reasons.

First, spirituality is about relationships. Researchers have found that social isolation contributes to heart disease and mental illness. Others have found that people who are isolated tend to be sicker and die earlier than those more socially embedded. The gift of relationships, especially positive ones, certainly gives life “life” and meaning and purpose.

Second, a contemplative meditation practice has been shown to have positive physical benefits, as well as spiritual ones, not least of which is stress reduction. Our lives seem to be getting busier with less time for silence and reflection. Stress-related illnesses have reached epidemic proportions. Simply embracing silence on a regular basis with a practice of contemplative prayer or meditation can have amazing results in all aspects of life - even just a few minutes each day.

There is also healing power in our belief systems. Studies have suggested that terminally ill patients with strong faith or a fighting spirit and a positive attitude may live longer and face better outcomes than those without such beliefs. And, many would support the thought that prayer works.

So, what gives your life “life?” Do you nurture your spirit in the same way you nurture your body?

Logical Minds/ Intuitive Hearts

There may be times when what seems logical to you may make no sense to others. Your spouse or business associate may not understand all the factors you have considered when making your plans. This may be due to your utilizing your connection within to the universe’s guidance, which can make your methods seem unfathomable. At the same time, their questions or seeming interference may serve to shake you into paying attention to the balance between what you want to accomplish and the needs of others. When we combine the logic of our minds with the wisdom of our hearts and intuitive guidance today, we know that everything happens for a reason and what needs to be accomplished will be done.

The Best Gifts

The best gifts are those that tell us that we are cared for and that the thoughts we have shared have been heard, understood, and supported.
These actions can be as simple as a look, a nod of understanding, a squeeze of the hand, or an expression of understanding.
When we seek to give these kinds of gifts, we express our appreciation for all that
this person has shared with us about themselves. When we acknowledge the fullness of those we love, we give them one of the greatest gifts we can give.
Another wonderful gift is the gift of ourselves. When we
trust another, we can fully share the beauty we have within. This is the ideal expression of affection and adoration, and it can be ours today.
