Well, now that the turkey dinner is committed to sandwiches, croquettes, and hash for the next few days, and the shopping blitz for the holidays has begun, let's embrace the season and enjoy! Like many of you, I have a shortened shopping list this year, and make no apologies for it. We're too often programmed to buy, buy, buy, and even made to feel it's helping the economy. Buy it if you need it or have wanted it for more than this moment in time, but remember, it's far better to be sensible and able to take care of yourself as you age. The best gift we can give ourselves and our families is self-sufficiency!

Tell us what the absolute, God-awful worst Christmas/holiday present you ever received was! Let's have some fun with this. Some of us will get no presents at all this holiday season and the one thing to cure any sad feelings about that is to remember that it COULD be worse!

You are led to expect your date is either casual or dressy, and you dress for it. When the date starts, it's not the same as you were told and you are either WAY over-dressed, or too casual.

Come on, who's ended up at a BBQ in a dress that was too fancy or a fancy party in picnic clothes?

Last night I had one of the most chilling nightmares that I've ever experienced. I dreamed that it was night time and my little Toyota was speeding across and empty parking lot and I was sure to crash into a huge brick building. I had absolutely no control over this vehicle. It was so real, that my last thought was.."I'm definitely going to die this time around" (plus..there was no thought about my family at all, just the on coming pain that was ahead of me) and right before the crash I awoke with a pounding heart! You cannot imagine the overwhelming relief that washed over me when I realized that it was just a dream. I was so upset that I cried like a baby. Now..I don't know if this has anything to do with a car accident that I was involved in last August...or all the recent news coverage regarding toyota's car issues, but I just want you all to know...that it's true...one really does wake up before they die in a dream.

will be coming home tomorrow (I think)....guess that means its time to drag out the rest of the Christmas decor. She can't stand it if I don't have the whole house decorated. She loves to help me put it all out. So I'm sure that will be my weekend plans. Of course she is also wanting to sit in the hot tub and do the "girl talk" thing. Wedding plans to get worked out!!!!

I'm home in my warm fuzzy clothes......warm and toasty.....my tummy is soooooo full.....but it was nice.....Somehow I think I may not be the only one with a full tummy tonight
