Warmth comes on Christmas morn
A rescued unwanted babe
Nestles in a new mom’s once empty arms
Feeding from a milk-less breast

Toothless faces glow in the room
Year after year they come
From near and far
Feasting on colorful pile high plates

I have been on eons for almost 4 years now......my profile says I joined in '07 but I really joined in '06....under a different name. Then came back as Annie.......my point....I have been a member of many groups and I have made many friends......some I've lost over the years....some I have kept........I have read many post and I have laughed and cried with so many.
I have been shocked at the amount of pain and heartache that I've seen....so many heartbroken people....so many lonely and sad people. So many that are in the same boat as myself.....so many that I can relate to. I have seen many that want me to believe they don't need anyone.....but in truth...they do. We all want to love and be loved.

So many have reached out......and I like to think that in some way...I and the others have helped them. I know that I have been helped so many times.
I have seen love bloom and I have seen it fall apart.....I have seen dreams crushed.....I have also seen people pick themselves up and start again.

We are all in this "thing" together....we have dreams and I like to believe that some will come true.

Sometimes we disagree.....but I love it when we can do that and still be friends......I also like to believe that we really do care about the people we have met here......maybe we can't get to them in 3D....but we are here online for them.

Thank you for great welcome. Wonderful groups and lots of interesting subjects and titles. I am very much looking forwarding to a hot cocoa and a browse through. There are so many subjects that I enjoy. Where do I start?

I got in the cutest conversation yesterday in the Post Office. A little girl showed me where she had lost a tooth that day, and proceeded to tell me all about the special powers the Tooth Fairy has. I loved every minute of our chat, and I don't care how juvenile it sounded to others in line!

Do children or people you don't know strike up conversations with you? Care to share a topic or info?

Oh man, how I remenber the partying when I was younger. Those were the days... Now I barely stay up for time square.. How about you, anything special going to happen on the last day of December?
