Unable to Post New Work

I've got a problem, as have other eons members who try to post photos from Microsoft Windows XP and earlier Windows versions using Adobe Photoshop's latest updates. Fortunately I have a good many of my artworks already uploaded to eons. These I can post wherever on eons that I like. Forgive me if you've seen some of the photos I'm about to post here before. I'm getting very frustrated not being able to upload new work while waiting for eons to correct this situation(the help team is working on it), so here come some already uploaded. If you are one of those who get an error message like: "There was a problem uploading your photos. Please try again." That's it! Almost a month already, and I'm still producing!.......Urban

Long time; no post!

Hi, Artists Group, it's been so long since I posted here that I wasn't sure whether I belonged. But here I am and I've just posted 3 paintings. I have done many, many new works since my last visit, and have begun finishing some oils that I started years ago. I hope to be posting more soon...both old and new.............Urban

Fountain - Woodburn & C/P

Just posted my latest woodburning pro-
ject. Two fountains situated in a public
garden somewhere (I don't remember the
location). It now lives on this 1/4" x 9" x
12" white birch plywood panel. I took so
much artistic license doing it that here's
the only place where it's tangible in a 3
dimensional way on a 2 dimensional sur-
face. Anyone interested may view the
uncolored woodburning on my profile. If
there's any interest in how it was done,
send me a private message and I'll be
glad to instruct.

Graphite Portraiture

I've just posted 3 pic's illustrating my
method of doing a face-on pencil portrait
in 30 minutes or less. I use the hen's egg
as a model, and work from there to
develop characteristics that fit a particu-
lar individual. This is where I began a
good many years ago, so this is how I
teach those with an interest in pencil
portraiture how to begin. The 6 steps of
an egghead will advance the beginner to
the point where it's no longer needed
but, with practice, becomes instinctive.
If this helps anyone, then I will have
contributed something useful to someone.

When I Was a Young Man

This ain't no joke neither...if I knew then
what I know now...I'd probably be the
same...do the same quiet, boring. mun-
dane things I've done all along. It's only
the verses to one of my songs.

When I was a young man
My strength never failed me.
I could do all I needed
Or wanted to do.

I worked all day long
And stayed up most all night.
I was fit as a fiddle
The best part of my life

I hardly needed rest
My body was so strong.
Lifting logs with the best,
Lumberjacking my song.

I loved all the ladies
And they loved me too.
When I was a young man
All the girls I would woo.

But alack and alas...
Those days are long gone.
I must go without bath
to become half as strong!

Alzheimer's Disease

The last few graphite drawings I have
posted are portraits that I did for the
families of these unfortunate sufferers...
gratis of course. They love the old songs
that I play on the piano for them. Many
sing along, knowing the songs even if
they don't remember things or people
that used to be important to them. I
numbered them...because I've forgotten
their names. Draw your own conclusions
but I've never been good with names.
