Like to hear your ideas

Hi, I'm Max. Just joined Eons & glad to find a group I can relate to. I have had 2 projects now for the last 6 years and not progressing at a very fast pace. Doing all body & machine work alone and not using any reproduction body parts, gets to be a real pain! The 42 ford pickup is my first priority. It sits on an 84 ranger 4x4 frame with a 5.0 ford V8. Every step forward, I take 2 sometimes 3 back, with more changes in customizing it. A 58 ford ranch wagon (fords version of a chevy nomad) will be getting some attention soon. Any ideas on the wagon as far as restore to original or mind to wild custom, let me know.

Hello,
We are Mike and Carrie from Wichita, Kansas. Both of us have cars we show. Hubby has a 1966 Pontiac Catalina Custom, this is what is known presently as a "rat rod" mainly because it is far from "done". We have dubbed the car Kool Kat.
I am more into the muscle cars, it isn't that I don't enjoy the customs, I do, but I like the sportier cars, we are turning our 1983 Buick Regal into a one of a kind 83 Grand National at least in the looks department. The car is anything but a Turbo. We have owned this car for nearly nine years, and in all that time, the car has blown the original v6, we put an Olds 350 motor in it, then the car was stolen and stripped, that is how we found the 66, Mike was scouring the lots for another Regal, which I really didn't want, so when he found the Catalina, I sort of used it as a con to keep my Regal, he has his custom, and has built my Regal back since the theft. We have dubbed the Regal, Mama Said (kind of a joke after the theft).
We are old car junkies for sure. We don't own anything that has a computer in it!!! Our daily drivers are a 77 Caprice (with less than 70,000 original miles) and a 78 Olds Delta 88 (with 92,000 original miles). I look forward to chatting with all of you. I am the computer person at our house, Mike is the mechanic, customizer, between the two of us, and our specialites, we work togather on keeping all our cars on the roads.
Carrie

GOING RACING-ZOOM ZOOM

Looks like I'm going to get to live a life long dream. Just got hooked up with a Drag Racing Team. They run a Funny Car & this year are putting on a Top Fuel Dragster as well. Might even get to do some test laps in the F/C. Owner told me if I want, he could get me licensed to drive a F/C. Doctor said I will beat this Cancer by Feb. Momma passed in August & I'm retiring again in March. So here we go at last. As Larry the Cable Guy says "GET ER DONE" YEAH!. Chuck

Just joined today

Just joined and this topic hit home. I am the proud
owner of a 1976 Corvette. Dont drive it as much as I would like. The air conditioner doesnt seem to want to work very well, and it is pretty hot in Ohio this time of year. Besides, the gas mileage is terrible.
