Anime Music Group

Photobucket

I'd like to expand the concept of the group a bit. AMVs are still welcome of course but please feel free to post any anime topics you wish and try to tie it to an AMV if possible. For example: write a review about an anime you've seen but preface it with an AMV. Please put long posts related to the AMV in the reply section so we can have as many posts on the front page as possible.

We know that anime can get pretty intense but please keep the AMVs you post entertaining and avoid any that are controversial or adult in nature. I don’t want to turn this into an adult site. Any posting deemed unsuitable will be deleted.
Thank you!

Okay, now this doesn't make sense, but please hear me out!!!

This song was originally for the movie 'Tenchi the Movie: Tenchi Muyo! in Love'. But someone who was a fan of 'Fullmetal Alchemist' thought this would be a good song... so I thought I would submit it to you!

Anyway, this song was composed by Christopher Franke, who was a former member of Tangarine Dream, and had composed the score of 'Babylon 5'.

Hope you like it.

A little background - the artists who perform this song is Boa, a British alternative group. Two of the members of the group, Steve and Jasmine Rogers, are the children of Paul Rogers, who was in rock groups Free, The Firm, and most important, Bad Company. This song was actually used as the theme of 'Serial Experiments Lain', and I had a little trouble in finding a full version of it.

It's been a while since I submitted anything, so here are a couple of vids I'm fond of:

This one is a parody of Van Halen's 'Right Now' (it even has the song), but the various clips are of animes - which includes Kimegure Orange Road, Slayers OVA, El-Hazard, Trigun, The Powerpuff Girls, Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo!, Outlaw Star, Akira, Sailor Moon, Project A-ko and Dragon Half.

Now this one is set to the novelty song "I Wish I was a Lesbian" by Louden Wainwright III, and features scenes fro FCLC, Cowboy Bebop, Ramna 1/2, Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano) and DiGi Charet.

Enjoy!

Okay, first the anime:

Nightwalker

This is the sort of anime that Anne Rice would write about in one of her books. Tatsuhiko Shido is a detective that operates in Yokohama's Kanagawa district. He's a warm, handsome, kind person, but with a bit of a perverted streak. His specialty, however, is hunting nightbreeds, demons who prey upon human frailties... and destroying human lives!

Now this would be a challange for an ordinary human... but Shido is a vampire! However, when he was turned - by a hedonistic vampire by the name of Cain, he lost something precious... his human memories. So for the longest time, Shido and Cain lived the life of two lovers hunting and killing through history. However, Shido grew tired of Cain's cruel nature and broke away from him. Now regreting his murderous past, he has vowed to set right all he had done and uses his vampiric powers to commit the damned back to the pit!

He is aided by Yayoi Matsunaga, a beautiful agent of a mysterious agency known as the N.O.S.. In exchange for offering her blood to him (Yayoi also has the soul of her older twin sister Katsumi, who was killed as a result of nightbreeds), Shido helps her in the N.O.S.'s fight with the nightbreeds. There's also Riho Yamizaki, his young secretary, who's parents were killed by nightbreeds and is now Shido's ward. And there's Guni, a self-styled 'urban faerie' - in fact, a green-skinned imp who often hides behind Shido's long, lavender-colored hair.

The three face many dangers - including the return of Shido's old lover Cain - as well as the young Riho becoming a vampire herself. Truly a good show.

Now for the vid:

"Gessekai" is a song recorded by the Japanese goth group BUCK-TICK, and is the theme song for 'Nightwalker'. I know the performers look weird, but the song's good.

Hope you like it.
