Don't know if any of you are avid readers but a couple of my fave authors have new books out which I want to get. SO I go over to Amazon to see if I can find something out about them and found this quote out of the new John Irving book "Last Night in Twisted River" and really wanted to share it.
"We don't always have a choice how we get to know one another. Sometimes, people fall into our lives cleanly - as if out of the sky, or as if there were a direct flight from Heaven to Earth - the same sudden way we lose people, who once seemed they would always be part of our lives."
Just struck me as a great quote.

70 degrees!!!
I've actually worked up a sweat! Been in the garage most of the afternoon trying to cut some mats for a couple of drawing and I had to come inside to cool off!
Bet we are going to miss this about mid Jan.

RE- welcome
To Minersdaughter. Glad to see you around, we've missed ya!
Morning!
Been MIA for a couple of days, went to Chicago with a group from IUS over the weekend. I'm exhaused, being the oldest on the trip...it's kind of hard keeping up with the kids. But then they slept all the way up and all the way back. BUT Chicago was a blast....very weird place to be on Halloween....everyone dresses up. Got to do a lot of things that were sort of planned, some by accident but those can sometimes be the best things. AND I've decided I'm too old to do that much walking! Now I just need a week to catch up on my rest.
Multi-tasking
Well I finally found out what's rotting my brain....it's multi-tasking. I've always been proud of that fact that I'm capable of doing several things an once. I can talk on the phone and type a memo on the computer while having a dozen different thing to take care of. BUT I've been hearing lately that there are real issues associated with multi-tasking. It can make learn new things more difficult, it can lower the IQ and cause memory problems later in life. There were go! Think I can claim workmans comp.
Halloween Costumes
What's the wildest costume you've ever had?
Dream
OK, now it's official, I'm watching too many cooking shows. I had a dream last night that I was in a cooking class/school, something and I had a competition where I had to bake pumpkin muffins, I had no receipe and they had not provided us with ingredients at our work stations and I spent the whole dream chasing around trying to find what ingredients, how much to put in and something to bake them in. Was a nightmare!
New Sitcom
Anyone catch the new sitcom "The Middle" last night, it's suppose to be set in Indiana, staring Patricia Heaton. It was pretty funny...kids are losers and the little kid is almost freaky. Think it might be fun.
Whine
Is it ever going to stop raining? It's been feast or famine this year, mostly feast!
