Just found this site and since I hit 50 just about 2 weeks ago I decided to join. Yes, I have a page on MySpace but more so to keep in touch with my children than anything else. I don't have 2250 friends and counting :)
Anyway, wanted to say hello and hopefully begin to learn the navigation around here. Hope to meet some new online (and maybe later offline) friends with like interests and perhaps learn something new along the way. TTFN!!

I know that you are out there. Where are you? Talk to me...
Hey I know this is very difficult at anytime, but think when you get older, it becomes very hard to do. I live in a very small town, and it just isn't happening. Any suggestions for an older gal who is still kicking but not willing to move!!
This seems like a fun and interesting group to join.
Today is my first day on Eons and I am having fun ,meeting new people.

Hello Group,
Eons looks like a great site, doesn't it? I love the games and am anxious to explore the rest soon.
I'm a 60-year-young woman, Florida native, but not a Southerner (Want an explanation? Just ask), bird-watcher, follower of Christ, nature-lover. I'm divorced and wanting to meet new friends to share ideas on all aspects of life. I entered the message board to read answers to what you put in your profiles for online dating. I've never used a dating service, but am considering it. Frankly, Frankly, I think that's a great suggestion you posted. Thank you.
Please introduce yourselves.
Looking forward to getting to know you,
L2MIO

Hiya to Boomchakalaka and L2MIO and to everyone posting an "I'm new" message! As far as I know this is a fairly new site, so I think we're all kind of discovering it together. I found it mentioned in an tech-based RSS feed, of all places, in an article obviously written by someone quite a bit younger than most of us, as what he seemed to mainly find interesting about the site is that it offers obit notices. :-)
The article also described Eons as "MySpace for Babyboomers" - I don't know about that, but I do know that it's nice to have a place to communicate online with other people in this age bracket. Everyone I've met through the site so far has been really, really nice, and I really hope the community continues to grow.

First of all take some time to think about it. Everyone is saying honesty. That is the #1 rule. Let your peronality shine through your words. Use discriptive wording but not graphic. Keep it in good taste. And be polite. Be interested in knowing the person first not just look for a relationship.
HI, we have a delightfu filipina friend and of ours to whom we happily will introduce. just email us at: johnyolly12@yahoo.com and will talk on it with you. thanks john n yolly
Do you think that friends can be as important as family?
Do you see a second home as an investment opportunity?
