what do you think?
Hello, all. I'm glad to be a part of your site. I am recently transplanted to the middle tennessee area. For the last several months I have been checking out the matching and dating sites. I am in my mid 50's and have found that most men of that age are looking for younger women. The ones that are my age seem lifeless. Has anyone else had experience with these? Am I doing something wrong?
Hey this is a good site! Greetings from Oz
Hi all! What a wonderful idea, a site for us the 'invisible' over 50's. Where did the time go!
I am a 53 year old female, originally from Holland now living in Australia. Newly single with 2 teenage daughters. I have connections and many fond memories of the USA. Maybe I can make some penfriends this way.
Into dogs, photography, travel and cooking I am a teacher (Special Needs)

Do I give up?
Hello all you good people out there in cyberspace.
This is a question for the ladies. I'm a widower who has been trying to find a compatible woman over
50 (I'm not looking for a Barbie Doll or a Nurse).
I am new in my area and have tried all the local
venues (church, singles groups, etc.) and just
about ALL the web groups. I DON'T do the bar
scene and I don't hit on marries women. Thru
different venues I have meet at least 50 women
(and one, in-the-closet gay man). Not one was
a woman with both reasonable attractiveness
for her age AND with brains that she has and
continues to use.
I'm about ready to give up...anyone have any
suggestions or comments? Comments ARE welcome

Hello to All!
This is such a refreshing site, compared to the others. I have been busy reading all the messages everyone has been leaving, and have to say, it has been a joy to to know that there are others that have some problems with being single. I am widowed for almost six yrs now and still find it strange, not being married. I welcome all comments, and look forward to meeting new friends!
Have a great day everyone!

Hello
Just found this site today. Not sure how it works... feeling around in the dark hoping to find a light switch soon. I'm 55, single and live in Knoxville Tn. Any K-towners out there??
New to group
I am a 52 yr old male in Orlando, FL. Does anyone know where to go to meet people my age. Thank you, Kent
New to group
I'm going through a divorce right now and find it somewhat daunting to be single again at this stage of my life. I'm okay on the divorce including settlement issues but with my family mainly in Canada and the UK, life in Albuquerque may get lonely

Hello
Just joined and not quite sure what I should say. I have been divorced for almost 20 years, kids grown and gone (mostly). I work in a young urban clothing store and rarely meet any people my age. I have lived in Michigan for almost two years (2 in Feb) but due to the demands of my job (60 + per week and commute) I have meet no one here. Ok, enough whinning. Where do older people go in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo area?

Washington Metro area teacher
I wonder where single people our age go as well. Have not figured it out. Have been considering figuring out a beloved hobby, but have been so busy raising a family and career building - little time has been spent on this topic. Washington metro area has much to offer... the question is really..."What brings me happiness?" It is a really deep question and when not cultivated...more difficult to define. Is any one from the Maryland, DC area and ready with a suggested activity/mixer place to go? Love to read your experiences and happy experiences!
